Barrel band for .25 FX Wildcat

Greetings,
I went through this entire section of this forum but didn't see this topic, so I decided to put it out there.
1. Does FX or other manufactures make a barrel band for this model & caliber?
2. Would a barrel band reduce POI shift at longer ranges?
3. Would a barrel band help minimize POI shift if a moderator (from Air-Fective) were to be added.
These questions came to mind after see AA Hunting SA's video Recoil Dynamics & Harmonics AB101 pt5.
Matt tested that POI shift does occur due harmonics & recoil, an more so with moderated and/or floating barrels.

I've seen many-a-folks add a moderator to this particular gun, and must say me likie the look.
I'm not doing it to quite down the gun, it is plenty quite with the 2 included baffles, wanting a moderator for purely aesthetic reasons (personal preference :))
As is, this gun is really accurate;
At 25yrds I can cover a full magazine group with a dime with plenty of room to spare...all day long.
At 50yrds the group can barley be covered by a quarter.
At 100+yrds the group can barely be covered by a dollar (that's coin not bill).
I know this gun has the potential to do better, chalk the last two yardages to operator error, wind, too much or lack of coffee (noone's perfect, we can't all be Ted lol)

Back to the questions, would a barrel band help with accuracy at longer ranges regardless moderated or not. and where can I get one of these unicorns?

Thanks,
Happy shooting!

I have a WC with a Hugget. It is accurate all day long ... until it gets bumped. It does not take much of a bump either. ( Usually happens getting in and out of the truck which can happen a dozen times a day. ) I believe it is just an inherent attribute of the Wildcat. I'm no armament scientist but I don't think a barrel band would help. It Would definitely affect the harmonics of the barrel. Let us know if you try it and it works though. There is a chance that tying the barrel and the cylinder together might make a better configuration.

Thanks for the feedback Nueces. I definitely will let you know if/when I test it, just need to find a barrel band first...maybe AoA might have one. Need to give them a call for specs on their stock.
You mentioned you have a Hugget, I'm kinda jealous. You mind providing a few specs...OD, weight, length, special adapter needed, place of purchase...a few pics would be nice.
I do a lil CAD work and would like to mock it up for alil perspective. Air-Fective moderators look nice but OD maybe too large making it look gaudy.
Thanks in advance!

Barrel is secured in 2 places with o-rings so I don't think adding a 3rd ring/band either around the shroud or muzzle would make much difference.

Either you make it free floating first by enlarging the 2 existing rings and removing o-rings as well and then putting a band at the muzzle end of the shroud.

If weight of the mod is a major concern, you can always opt for a longer shroud with built in baffles. It will weigh a lot less.
