Bantam sniper HR ??

Got a question guys. What was the power level on the regular sniper in 22? Im considering a new rifle. I really like the new XR series. Was wondering what possibly the new sniper non HP could be turned up to? I like the hp, just not the length. Its between this and an impact. But the Brocock just seems like a better field carry knock around rifle to me. All out power goes to the impact no doubt. But if i could get 40 fpe out of the xr I'd be content.

Any info is appreciated.

Yes. Im interested in the new side lever. I figured the new side lever could maybe make a few more fpe.with the few improvements they made? But thought a I'd ask about the previous model also. The regs are adjustable, where as delivered I dont know. I figured they could be turned up some if wished though. Just curious if anyone leaned on one a bit and what was possible. Or if 32 fpe is topped out for the non hp model. Thanks.

@Rj, my non XR, Bantam Sniper HR (not an HP) goes from 14 FPE to 32 FPE. I haven’t tried to increase the power. The overall length of the gun is one of the reasons I went with the Bantam.HR over the HP, 34.5” no moderator needed in .22 No regrets here and I would definitely buy Brocock again. They might not make a lot of power by some standards, but they make great guns. Boringly reliable and accurate.I believe one of the features being touted in the new XR lineup is interchangeable parts. Maybe you can purchase the HP version with a shorter barrel? Or install one afterwards?

Thanks Leon. What reg pressure are you running? Im replacing a Royale 400, should have hung on to it. My only complaint if there was one, is i had to stick to jsb 18's because of the smooth twist and couldn't shoot anything heavier. Was able to run 32 fpe at 145 bar on that rifle and boringly accurate also. Just looking for something i can shoot some 21- 25's in the upper 800's with some accuracy.

thanks for any feedback.

Rj, my regulator is set at 150 bar. I intend to shoot some of the heavier pellets this Spring, when I can finally sit outside and shoot some strings. Like you I want to see how fast it might shoot the 25s from JSB. I’ve run JSB 18s, 15.9s, AA 16s and 14.3 Crosman Premiers. All of them good for pesting to 50 yards. The AAs and JSBs being more accurate at longer distances, but the pests don’t seem to care. I can regularly set up for 100 yard shots on pigeons but pass on those shots because of wind and other conditions. Am looking to see if shooting the JSB 25s will give me more oomph at that range.
