So a raccoon (well 2) has been pestering the frogs and fish in my mini 10 foot pond. Wife doesn't like idea of those trash pandas around and he was getting bold. Plus disease threats, I say only thing a raccoon is good for is to another raccoon, cute ones on YouTube not withstanding. So I set out a frozen banana...and waited 2 hours...
He was walking away when A: I noticed him and B: cocked the .22 Wildcat, turned on the Nite Viper and hit record--so time was expiring, for both of us. (ha-ha) Unfortunately a head shot was not possible as he was crawling under my shed but I did get a lung shot and then finished him with a few to the noodle once I had a better angle.
A barred owl came by 30 minutes later as I was pulling him out from under the shed and let out an ear piercing call of excitement as if saying, "You gonna eat that??" LoL
18 gr JSBs 880fps 31.1 fpe about 15 yards. Another smaller one is around too, I saw both in same video clip 3 nights ago.
