Baiting Materials Used when in action?

I would like to know in your experience what has worked for you when baiting. Please be specific for each critter if baiting for more then one animal. I’ll go first.

Squirrels ..Peanut Butter will bring them in and quick

Birds.. Stale bread works best for me

Raccoons.. I leave the dead squirrels

Possums.. Haven’t found anything special they like most besides my trash cans😂

I live in the southeastern US. The gray squirrels here love black oil sunflower seeds but will also come in for yellow corn. Night time critters like raccoons, possums, and red foxes hit a mix of cat food and meat table scraps. Rats will hit both the corn and cat food at night. Flying squirrels also visit the corn and BOSS. We don’t have skunks nearby.

Racoons = marshmallows

Opossums = peanuts in the shell

Squirrels = whole corn, peanuts in/out of the shell, safflower seeds, peanut butter

Rabbits = apples

Starlings = suet cakes

HOSPs = bird food

The only things I'll shoot while they're feeding are the starlings and HOSPs because the suet cakes are hung for the woodpeckers and the birdfood is for the native birds.

The opossums and racoons are trapped and relocated to the woods. The squirrels are fed to keep them off the bird food.

However, if the racoons or opossums are tearing into the trash cans, they're fair game.

Marshmallows huh? Do they have to be fresh marshmallows? I’m going to try and see what happens.

I’ve never baited for anything except Bear and Coyotes but this summer with my new property I put out about 10 pounds of feed corn just to see what would happen and on my game camera I got Deer,Turkey,Geese,Fox,Coyotes,Racoon and birds of course to all check it out, I knew the deer would be there but the other visitors made it interesting to say the least.

I only bait for deer and squirrel. They happen to all be the same bait piles that depending on where I’m hunting can either be whole corn or corn still on the cob. Other areas it’s corn and cigar beets, carrots and apples. Deer in some areas aren’t used to sugar beets and simply pass them by while other parts of the state you can’t keep enough out.
