Bad Habits from shooting semi

IVe got 2 semi guns... Leishey2 and an AEA .22

the L2 likes to have the trigger reset as fast as possible, so I shoot and immediately let of the trigger..... Seems Ive carried that "technique" to other guns... specifically my TX200 shooting field taget this past week end. Motorhead pointed it out while we were on the practice range at the OR match, and I tried all weekend to remember to follow thru (squeeze, break, hold, wait for impact, release). So Im convinced Scott's observation saved me a few points, and equally convinced when Id forget it cost me a few too.

More stuff to work on.....

I find that I have to “learn” the trigger of every gun I shoot. The L2, to me, is much more like a handgun or combat rifle trigger. Prep the trigger, then pull it. Forget this surprise break stuff with those. My FX Crowns on the other hand, have precision rifle triggers. Be gentle, find the break point (its there, even if it is well hidden) then gently squeeze, holding everything still, until it goes off. Even shooting quickly, gentle squeezes are the order of the day.

I don’t think of it as bad habits, just Different strokes for different folks and different horses for different courses.
