Bad Aliexpress Experience

Like many on here, I have been watching Yong Heng compressors for some time. I finally decided to take the plunge and try one. I ordered a Yong Heng type that appeared to be a better quality with digital pressure gauge and cutoff and bigger cooling head. A fellow forum member had purchased one and liked it. It came from the Uzwell Factory Store through Aliexpress. I also ordered a gold water filter/separator. I ordered them 5/3.

The filter came in around a week. Still hadn’t seen the compressor ship so I emailed them 5/10. They emailed back to say it shipped 5/11. They said it could it could take a week to see tracking info. Still hadn’t seen tracking so emailed 5/26. They responded back that it hadn’t shipped, that they were doing improvements on the compressor and it would ship in a week. I emailed that I would like a refund. They responded that I would have to file a dispute using Aliexpress electronic dispute form. This form would not work. I emailed again and told them the form would not work on 5/28. I have had no response from them since. I am now going through my credit card company for a refund.

I have purchased other items from Aliexpress successfully in the past. This is the most expensive item that I have ordered from them. Very disappointed with them.

When you make a purchase through Aliexpress, there is an associated timer by which time the seller MUST provide tracking information otherwise the order is automatically closed and payment refunded. Just FYI.

As an aside, you owe it to aliexpress to use their internal dispute system. Why do I say this? Because the seller doesn't have your money, it is held in escrow by Aliexpress until YOU release it to the seller by confirming receipt. (or the timer runs out, note every order has a timer running on it) If you file a chargeback, not only is your CC going to yank the funds, they'll hit aliexpress with fees.... fees they don't deserve as they didn't do anything and without having filed a dispute they have no way of knowing anything went wrong. If you file an aliexpress dispute and they tell you to go take a hike, then by all means have at them, but you owe them at least a chance to make things right I think. Is that unfair?

I realize it is very frustrating when a seller jerks you around, we've all been there, but at this point it isn't the seller who is going to take it on the nose if you file a chargeback.

Just my 2c. And I'm sorry you're having issues. It really sucks.

It may not be such a bad thing if you do not get it. This compressor has once caught my attention as well and I have searched through Alibaba , the biggest e-commerce site in China and sister site of Aliexpress , I could find only one shop selling the compressor and that shop is just a reseller, not the shop run directly by the factory. Thats not a good sign because it means the supply is very limited, likely because the product is still not fully market ready. May be they were just being honest when they told you that the product is still under improvement ?

Even if you can get one, it is unlikely that you will be able to get spare parts that are guarantee to be compatible. For compressors of this kind, only Yong Heng and Tuxing are backed by reliable support in China. I guess the same goes for Aliexpress.

To me the digital pressure gauge is not much a plus because its just a different way of presenting information. It does make the compressor look more advanced but thats just a feeling. The performance and reliability is not necessarily better. The forum member who has talked about this compressor has mentioned that its much quieter than Yong Heng but the reply I got from this Youtuber is different ( check out the comments )

Sorry to hear this for you. Thanks for all info as I’m considering a Yong Heng or another Hill until I save $2950.00 for Alkin from Doug Noble. I absolutely need a good compressor as my PCP collection is not what many would hand pump. It’s getting old. I do keep them topped off though. No more than 75 strokes & 12 to pressurize line. If I’m even going to ever delve into .257! I have to have that Alkin, step down in-line reg & shoot tethered which I don’t mind at all but no way I’m pumping.

Weird, if is not shipped you should be able to cancel the order. I have done it several times over Aliexpress with no problems.

As for the noise, mine is less noiser than my other Yong Heng, probably due just the different intake filter, that can make a big difference in noise level on any compressor.

Digital is a big advantage to me, the set pressure gauge on the YH has been replaced twice already, on the Yellow one non, but the light led on the monitor is failing now ( not a functional problem) on the yellow.

Temperature stay cooler than my YH and air does not stink using hidraulic 46 oil. So having the YH and the Yellow, I will stay with the yellow. But I use it less than I use to use the yh, since I got a 12v compressor too for traveling and top off direct to my airguns, so instead of using it twice a week, now I use it once a week only to fill 9 liter scba bottle.

Of course is only my experience and might change from user to user.

I have ordered many items. Compressor and filter from AliExpress. It takes time. It seem like you are in a rush to get it. It usually take 3 weeks to a month to get it. So be patient. I have never ordered an item off there that I never got. They all came. Some came in a week..other took 3 weeks. Some take over a month. If you want something to arrive in a week. Order from the states. Not from China. Cause even their tracking number is unless. It will show it's shipped and never get updated. Then one day it just arrived at the door. That's how China product works.

I have used ali express like 3 times I always got stuff , but it took months for one to come , I think all if it from China and shipping is weird there , they somehow sell thngs free shipping but it may take 2 months , I try to order local in USA unless I cant find stuff then I go to china and non USA sellers, If you have problem with iten from china and ever have to ship back , shipping cost will exceed products LOU

I refrain from ordering large items through Aliexpress. My Yong Heng was purchased through Ebay for $235 in January and shipped out of California hassle free. I bought an air tank direct from China that was not DOT certified. It took a few days to get it through customs.

Be aware that the customs folks are getting a little more diligent after the fiasco with Chinese machine gun conversion parts that made it through under a false declaration. The BATF is moving throughout the country collecting them.
