Back into the sport - full setup

Friends,

After some health problems have kept me down for a bit, I'm back into the sport and have even found a place to shoot for our short stay here in VA (our next stop is Fort Sill, OK). Here's what I purchased and ordered today:

Brocock Contour S6 .22 purchased from a forum member here which will be scoped with my Leupold 3-9x33 EFR
71 Cu Ft 4500 PSI Carbon Fiber tank (USA made/ Joe B)
Shoebox F10 & High pressure filter (filter was also from Joe B) to work with my California Air Tools CAT 4610A oil-free compressor

Taipan Veteran .25 (on backorder for another month or so) which will be scoped with my Leupold 6.5-20x40 EFR.

With all this, I should be ready to do some shooting in the next week or so if I don't forget to order the pellets.

For those who use a Shoebox, any recommendation for a low side input water filter?

Thanks!

Joe

COA, I’m looking forward to seeing that video. Please keep us updated!

I’m pretty happy with my high pressure side filter/setup but I do want to find a good water filter to install between the 1st stage compressor and the Shoebox. I’ve looked around but would prefer to use a filter that a fellow air gunner is already using with success. Any suggestions are welcome!

"QQ"Using the compressor only in some sunny dry day, and you will get free of water in you tank, which is better than any water filter.

Hi jp_over
In my experience, I have found that the most effective low side separator is a long hose with an uphill loop to stop any condensed liquid flowing past the elevated bend in the line. I also use air-oil traps at the compressor and booster and one in the middle but 90% of the moisture is trapped in the hose. Picking a low humidity day also helps a lot. I use an Altaros booster and it has a final silica gel trap on the low side. I am now using one of those Chinese high-pressure filters filled with molecular sieve on the HP side. The problem with this setup is it takes nearly half an hour just to pressurize the filter and lines before I can start filling my bottle.
