Aztec Scope Review

Ya know ... once I got that bikini off and took a look at what was inside, it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and my mouth start watering. The way those things on top stand up ... they're so big and round, they feel perfect in my hand. It's almost like they are just asking you to pull on them and twist them a little to the right or a little to the left until you hit that sweet spot and you immediately know that when your trigger goes off, it's gonna go right where you want it to go. Yes, my Aztec treats me right and I treat it right also ... well, time to go take a cold shower.

Concerning flip up lens covers, when I got a 3-12x44 Optisan Viper I found that the metal flip up covers were an annoyance, especially the ocular cover that tended to get hung up on clothing when cocking my break barrel HW95 & R9. Also the objective flip up cover (the large front cover) would tend to loosen up with springer recoil after a while and the hinge would loosen up with use requiring tightening of the tiny hinge screw. I ended up removing the "flip-ups" and substituting the "bikini style" covers with the elastic strings.

Anywhoo....I no longer have the Viper but I still have the set of Viper flip up caps that were replaced with the "bikini".......

For the price I think it's a great scope, and pairs with my .25 streamline very nicely. I have found that I leave it at 18x most of the time since it gives me holdover marks out to 149 yards with a 50 yard zero. Mine also came wth the bikini cover, which U dont like how far you have to stretch with the sun shade installed. I also like a good set on flip ups like the butler creek covers, but think most scopes come with cheap flip up covers.

I have one on my 12fpe .177 BSA R10, mine has the scope thong cover too, i love this scope, it dials in dead nuts, the numbers on the reticle are inline with the turrent. One thing i not fond of is when zeroing the turrents the dial doesn’t like to seat easily, sometimes you have to go a click off to align the gearing. Other than that, i love it, and will prolly get another one.

Picked one up from another AGN member. It is nice, not perfect but really good. The reticle is well done and the lines are VERY thin....almost too thin. I had to make adjustments on the ocular piece to get the lines to really pop. The glass is very clear until you go past 18x, then it does start to loose clarity. I have not noticed a POI change through the magnification. Only shoot i day with it but, seems like a keeper.
