aztec emerald anyone got one how bout a little info

I have three scoped rifles. Well, I have two and gave one to my son. I have an FX Royale 500 with a Hawke Sidewinder 30 6-24x56 IR and a .22 Daystate Wolverine B Hi-Lite with a Hawke Sidewinder 30 6-24x56 IR. My son has a .22 FX Bobcat MKI with an FX 6-18x44 SF IR scope. I got the FX scope for free when I purchased the Royale 500. I use the rifles for target shooting. I used the Bobcat and Royale at EBR with the Hawke scopes in 2015. I will be up front with you and tell you that I am not a professional airgunner. I shoot for fun and airguns allow me to be able to get more trigger time than my powder burners. The Hawke Sidewinders work very well for me. The optics are clear and transmit a crisp image. For reference, I shoot aspirin at 25 - 50 meters and they show up well. It probably helps that I use mine in sunny Arizona. The reticle is easy to see and is illuminated if needed. I do not use the IR feature very often, but I have found that it is actually useful on very sunny days. It helps me be able to place the target in the center of the crosshairs (particularly dark targets where the reticle wants to hide). The turrets return to the reticle to the same place when you use them to make adjustments. The scope is heavy, but I usually shoot from a rest. If you have the funds to spend, Hawke makes a good product. I am currently looking at purchasing another rifle and thinking about both the MTC Viper Pro and the Aztec Emerald. I like the ability the smart turret on the Viper Pro gives you. I also like the design of the Aztec where the reticle and the turrets are both in MOA. I hope to see more reviews on the Aztec Emerald soon.

didn't see any responses from someone who had one so I'm letting you know I love mine. for refrence these are the other scopes I own:
Hawke sidwinder 6.5 -20 x 42
SWFA 16 x 44,
Hawke vantage 6 - 24 x 44
Hawke panorama 4 - 12 x40
MTC viper connect. 3-12 x 32

The Aztec is by far my favorite, it just replaced the sidwinder on my impact. Image quality is brighter and more clear than any of the others, the moa reticle is sharp and easy to use, also the turrets are low profile so it fits my case better (i also prefer the look) I have one small gripe and that is the turrets seem really stiff. they click nice and firmly but take a little force to move. I've only had the scope a few weeks though so maybe they'll break-in over time.

buy one.

@hynzie No disrespect intended but your "shorthand" style of posting is terribly hard to read. Your post seem informative but PLEASE don't use the shorthand. It is not understandable by all readers!

The entire scope is stiff but it does loosen up with use. Matt's review might lead people to believe otherwise but it IS a Chinese import and now comes with a rubber bikini cover set rather than flip up caps. It is the New AOA "House" brand scope (trademark registered to AOA owners according to a Google search)! ;)

Hi, I have seen some videos of the Aztec optics, it looks interesting and good, but nowhere do they mention how many clicks each turret can give. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks and greetings to all.

I have mine on a Royale 500 and I love it. Put 5 shots on a target at 75 yds and a nickel could cover them. It holds zero. The windage/elevation adjustments work fine. I have one set of numbers for 50 yds and another set for 75 yds. If I remember the numbers I can go back and forth and still hit what I am shooting at. I don't like the recticle though. If theres a busy background it's often hard to see the tiny dot that is the exact spot you want on the target. Also the lines for hold over, windage, etc, are really fine and if I am using them as gauge to adjust a shot, they are hard to pick up out of a busy background. The large sidewheel i though was overkill until I started using it. Real easy to adjust parallax.
I am an old duffer so maybe the lines on the cross hairs won't be an issue for others. I would have chosen a different cross hair pattern. I think I read it was used on some rifles that placed really high in some of the recent competitions.
