NEW Air Venturi Avenger Regulated PCP - Ultimate Owner/Tuning Guide!!

From what I've seen so far on the avenger. I'm very Impressed. I own some much higher end PCP's and I gotta tell ya'll..My ATAMAN M2R bullpup .357 has been a total disappointment. It's definitely not worth the money. So!..This new Avenger budget friendly PCP coming out, is definitely something I personally long for. Cant wait to see if it really holds up.

22 cal arrived today 12/3/2020 Boxed very well done. Only 2.5mm hex wrench included ( hammer spring) you need a 3 mm for the degass. Rifle arrived with tank psi at approx. 3400psi and regulator showing approx. 2900 psi. Hammer spring was NOT ABLE TO BE TURNED CW OR CCW. I decided to degass as try to adjust, no go, wont turn either direction. I am at a loss here as to return it or take it apart. Anybody else have this issue? Curse of 2020?

Hello guys and gals. Not sure if this is the proper forum for my question but here goes.

I have a new avenger in 22 cal. Have shot well over 1000 pellets. I cannot come anywhere near the 15.89 gr Diablo tune shot count. I have tried reg settings of 1400, 1600, 1800 and 2000. Hammer springs of 1.5 to 4.0 ( at .5 increments). I have made all shot strings over my Chrony and notice a consistent drop of 400 psi of fill pressure every 10 shots. I always start at full fill 4350 psi. Best I ever got with today's setting from RL Airgun supply suggestion ( where I bought it new) is 4350 fill, 1900 reg set, 2.5 HS turns. Off the reg at shot 40. Continued to shoot thru shot 70 where reg was 1100, tank pressure was 1400 and velocity dropped to 800 ft/ sec. When I contacted RL Airguns I was told perhaps it's the difference in Barometric pressure. I live in Pewaukee WI and the altitude is 1950 ft above sea level. Florida is 100 ft above sea level. I cannot accept this as the major factor.

I have no drawings and as a retired engineer, I can only guess what the problem could be. No external leakage and air pressure holds solid overnight. Perhaps this consistent air loss is due to valve not freely moving to it seated position and or weak return spring.

I believe there is a problem with my particular rifle and am looking for any help or opinions. My first PCP so not alot of background.

I kindly thank you in advance.

I received mine today. Had to Disassemble the gun to adjust the hs. Once adjusted to pro tune with aeac pro tune got 39 shots accurate with fx 18.1 grain pellets at 40 yards. 300 bar 1800 reg 2.75 hs. Drop to hs 2.5 then refill to 300 bar all the same as above and gained 10 more shots. Totalling 49 before the 1 inch drop shot.. tomorrow will drop hs. More and try again.

So I filled the gun to 4500psi today 310 bar definitely pickup another ten shots or more. I've noticed the first 10 to be a bit wild 1 inch group at 45 yards. The gun shoots a dime though at around 2500psi. I have severe regulator creep set for 1800psi but when full it runs around 2000psi and when nearing tank pressure of 2500 it drops to 1400 on regulator. Obviously the gauges suck. But hey its a 300 dollar rifle. I noticed Steve commented in his video that you have to go in the red to get to 300 bar. We'll the farther I push it in the red the more shots I get. Dont trust the the gauges. Fill it up deep into the red. Seems to work better that way. Also noticed the shot regulator let's you go far past 2900 psi. I had 4 pellets stuck in the barrel after letting my girlfriend shoot some. Crank it up to 4300 psi and blew the all out.
