Who'd have thunk?

Stranger than Fiction.

I've got to admit that it sort of pisses me off that Pyramyd Air sent the Avenger to all the popular YouTuber's to create this hullabaloo but they don't have any in stock and the expected date keeps getting pushed further out. 😡

PK

I can confirm the guns are stateside but waiting for customs clearance. Once that is done (and they don't tell you how long that takes), it's a few days journey to the warehouse and then they will start shipping out. Trust me when I say, no one is happy when the dates get pushed out. There is nothing any of us can do but be patient at this point, it won't be too much longer.

With some more time invested today (and some Insyder information) 😉, I'm UPDATING my Avenger .22 cal "aeac pro tune" and "aeac eco tune." Take note of the reg pressure as compared to earlier in this thread and brace yourself, lol. Below is exactly how I'd set up this rifle for ownership. It keeps a diabolo in that magic 850 range AND yields some astonishing power, shout count, ES, and SD. Keep in mind, this is a 6 pound platform so it helps with flip too, further contributing to easy accuracy. ES and SD as well as power are all in line for 100 yard duty.

* Handpumpers running to 3,000 psi or so can expect about half the shot count, which is still plenty good in my mind.

* My "aeac power tune" is staying as is for now... 42-43 fpe ish with the .22 cal and a 25.39gr. I'm pretty confident that's all the muscle on tap.

I don't really want to shell out on an expensive 300 bar fill source. If I get a 232 bar tank will the gun run ok on that? Would you go 22 or 25, this would be my first pcp

It'll run just fine. The only drawback is that you wont get as many shots as a 4350 psi fill would yield. Figure 15-20 ish on a high power tune and 40-50 ish for a moderate & lower power tunes. I'd go .177 or .22.

You'll be fine with a Chinese hand pump. I'm 13 and pump my Nova Vista Liberty (which has a bigger air capacity than this) with my AliExpress $33 handpump up to 4k psi regularly.

I have the Nova Vista Liberty’s in .177 which is giving me fits with the magazine and jamming, but several in .22 that have been absolutely flawless and have always wanted one in .25 caliber. I ordered the Avenger from PYA a couple of weeks ago and the ETA is 6-30 if that doesn’t change. I kinda think this Avenger is a Liberty MK2 basically and if Nova Vista makes it...once again...they put the money in all the right places. I have a few high end rifles but I have to admit...the wooden stock Liberty I have in .22 is my favorite PCP. It just drives tack and will hold its own out to 80 yards with my Crown and my Sk-19 both in .22. I am very much looking forward to what this company pulls out of their hat next. Great time for newbies to climb on this crazy train!
