I lot of people, me included, dislike the automatic safety on the TX200 and the FWB124. Has anyone disconnected the automatic safety on these two airguns? I know, I know, you don't disable safeties. But, if you don't cock the gun until you are ready to shoot, you don't need a automatic or a manual safety.

Personally I hate automatic safety s on airguns ( and match rigs , and in general ) . Yes what you want can be done, but.................... Do you really want to on a TX200?
That is a design that can cut your - some one else using it - finger completely off if the anitbear trap fails and you'd be disabling it also. Now the original TX didnt have an anit-bear trap device and everyone seemed to use them just fine.
IF you really want to do this just download the parts diagram, it is very straight forward. But then nevr lend it to anyone for even a shot.

Should have said TX200 MKIII. Would not deactivate the beartrap safety, just the push button on rear.

My old Beeman R7 came without a safety. I wouldn't have one of the new models that have an auto-safety. The only safe gun is an de-cocked gun. I completely removed the ridiculous and frustrating and totally unnecessary auto-safety on my AirForce Condor. I simply de-cock it to make it safe. The biggest gripe that I had with my Condor was that damnable auto-safety. I was ready to sell that gun until I discovered that it can be totally removed, which I did forthwith. What a relief. Now I'm keeping it!!!
I'm convinced that these cockamamie auto-safeties have a whole lot more to do with limiting manufacturers' liabilities than anything else. But what a pain in the a** for the owner! My Condor was the first and the LAST gun that I buy with an auto-safety! GRRRRRRRR!!!

Don't like them. Disabled the one on my Diana 34 and the so called anti-beartrap on my Crosman Venom.

I disabled the auto safety on my condor ss also. That was a very easy fix. I may just disable the safety altogether on my hw97 if I can't figure out how to disable the auto part of it.

Yeah, I dislike them too, and to add insult to injury on the hw80 you cannot manually reset the safety so it's not available when you need it and always in the way when you don't. To me, however, dislike has not reached to the $70 + s/h level yet for a v-mach resetable safety yet.

I disabled mine on the LGV. Frankly, I didn’t mind it auto and all, but it wasn’t very smooth to slide on off. So, it’s gone now.

I have a condor and I can’t cock it all the way back ,and it fells like the safety is stuck.i fired a shot went to recock it and no dice,can someone please help

It is not possible to disconnect the safety on the old FWB 124, as the trigger won’t work without the safety being connected. However with the New Model FWB SPORT you can remove the safety and the trigger works fine. However disconnecting the safety is not something I would recommend.

i just want to state that just about anything and everything that is engineered to be safe is truly not safe (usually a hindrance) in almost every trade and field. it is targeted and projected by insurance companies (who watch their purse strings) for village idiots of the sue happy,not my fault, low mentality crowd. now that they have legalized pot,they will come up with more ways to protect these idiots.

My favorite is table saw guards, this is the most dangerous feature of any and all tools and weapons i have ever owned.
