Now get out there and shoot some cans!

I was so excited to shoot something today so I pulled out my trusty Daystate Red Wolf .25 cal. I’ve been thinking about the Airgun Nation monthly challenge so I used 5 sparkling water cans. You know I’m cheap so these are refilled with water. I placed the cans at 80 yards, 90, 100, 110 & 120 yards. I have the GoPro but I have it set up on my Impact & didn’t want to change it. Those 34mm scope adapters aren’t cheap. So you only see the results of my shooting. I took my time shooting 8 times to hit 5 cans in 1 minute 20 seconds. I have no wind indicators up so I’m just guessing at the wind. I allowed too much wind at 100 yds & missed my first shot. The wind picked up on my 120 can & took 3 shots at it. I plan to shoot & film this event a few more times. Perhaps I will hire a videographer. My goal will be not only to hit all 5 without a miss but to also shorten my time.
Enjoy,

Oh its on baby! I'm coming over so we can have a dual!

I have an indoor range in my garage and shop, and just set up an longer one (25yd) outdoors that is marked with a stake so I can clean it up and pull it back out easily. So to get started on this tonight, earlier I laid out stakes to give me 15 yd increments to the max of my possible range. I have them at 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 yds, with the 40 a foot short because it's limited by the burn barrel.

I just went outside to put cinder blocks at the stakes, but all the stakes are pulled out and stacked nicely beside my granddaughter's swing set. So I have to re-measure the whole thing because I'll never find the stake holes in the grass.

Gotta love little kids...

Anyway, I figured this is a good exercise for me because I've got a penchant for providing Coke cans with extra ventilation.

Here's my entry.

Umarex Ruger 10/22, Field & Stream fixed 4x32 scope, Crosman 10.5gr Premier Domed pellets, Crosman CO2. I really love my 10/22. I wish they had a wood stock version, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

5 rounds, 18 seconds. Cans are shot in the order 40 yds, 35, 30, 25, 20.

That was a fun challenge. Thank you!

Andy
