Attn Bulldog Lovers!! Veradium Air Has Something Brewing....

Today I spoke with Brian ( @bthurman ) from Veradium Air. He is a very helpful gunsmith. What I really thought was cool about our conversation was that his information validated some of my apprehensions concerning several aspects of the work I’m trying to do on my rifle. I balked on a couple of steps (involving troubleshooting and repairs) and after speaking with him I’m glad I did. Brian has taken time to assist me with modding my own stock Bulldog that I purchased elsewhere. He also saw that I was having a hellish time installing my barrel supports and locating and sealing a couple of potential leaks and sent me a few parts to help (I started a recent thread on this in our forums). I was actually trying to buy parts via their site and he sent me a complimentary package! I couldn’t find them on the site because at the moment they’re working to upgrade/update it. I’m very anxious to see some of their new offerings

He shared some things that Veradium has in the works like a .457 Bulldog. I’m not sure what the trade name will be, but the range and power on this thing sound promising!! He also mentioned an air shotgun that I think is gonna kill the Wing Shot. If I remember correctly it will also shoot .50 cal slugs AND air bolts. They’ll also have some compressors that I think may rival several of the brands and models I’ve been reading about on AGN. I don’t wanna misquote the velocity, kinetic energy, or compressor specs so you may wanna keep checking VeradiumAir.com over the weekend to see if they roll out the upgraded site with info on new products and mods.

I’d already looked into Veradium based upon posts and reviews I’d read on AGN. So before I’d actually communicated with Brian, I was aware of his work. I now look forward to doing business with Veradium. Best of all they’re now within a reasonable driving distance for me. If any of this sounds interesting to you check ‘em out for yourself. I almost forgot that he told me he works on all sorts of airguns, not just Bulldogs which is a big plus.

Brian always has things brewing... a very competent airgunsmith and great guy to yak with. My Bulldog tuned by him has been top notch and really has been a top performer for me.

He's mentioned the work that he's doing on shotguns and it's impressive to say the least. He's got the skills to make things happen and the integrity in his work to inspire confidence when you purchase from him. I'll continue to follow his progress!

Recently got a peak at the Veradium .457 Bulldog Taurus. I’m anxious to shoot this baby!! *hint, hint* @Bthurman. Really interested in seeing the chrony numbers on her. I could hear him shooting in the background last we spoke. I didn’t speak on it, but I felt like I may have been being teased. J/k. Brian’s got some good stuff coming. This is exciting.

When do you think he will have the .457 out? Can't wait to see what its like.

I'm sure there have been many unintended consequences of pushing the platform this far. Based on the Bulldog's .375/.140 valve throat/stem combo with a .457 bore and assuming a >30" barrel it is likely producing in the neighborhood of 500fpe, which is over 2x how the gun was delivered by Crosman. At these energy levels one has to wonder what effect this much energy is having on the plastic clamshelll stock, for example.

I am confident that Brian is working to develope a safe, robust, and accurate package before putting it in the hands of any consumer. Hopefully he is successful, but it wouldn't be the first time an experiment resulted in nothing but a new set of lessons learned due to the unwavering laws of pysics.

I really don’t know, but you can ask @bthurman (Brian) directly. He’a very approachable and he’s passionate about airguns.
