That is a surprising reaction in the prs community. I had heard and I’m not sure the accuracy of the information, that pcp guns were allowed. The stipulation was that only 22 pellets were permitted, not the slugs. That seems surprising to me. The slugs would seem the more natural competition for the 22lr.
I am totally new to the pcp world, my FX hasn’t even arrived yet. I was looking forwards to the prs-nrl competitions. I have shot PRS club matches with my centerfire 6mm. I found the participants very friendly and helpful “in club matches”. They helped with wind calls and positional shooting etc. Seems strange that there would be any resistance to including pcp into they’re 22lr sport, a gun is a gun.
Of course California is different from Texas in so many ways. One thing I found when I moved here back in the 80’s, was the people here really are friendly. Oh yes and gun friendly too.
