Been working with an ATN X-Sight II HD in 3-14x on one of my pellet rifles and have found it very useful especially at night. My concern is that I can see no difference in the illumination using the included infrared illuminator on the second and third setting at 10, 25, 50 and 80 yards. Shouldn't the image brighten up at the higher settings? Any other way to test it ?
The batteries were low. For others information the illuminator worked just fine out to 50 yards but I could see no difference when I turned up the power to the second and third level. I took the batteries out and tried them in my Surefire visible light flashlight and it was totally dead. Apparently low batteries still allow the low power level of the illuminator to function (although slightly less bright) but not the higher levels. Really like this sight !!!
