ATN X-Sight 4K Pro

Checked and re-checked. At first the image was so washed out, I looked to see if ATN had put clear plastic on the lens, like on some phones/tablets etc. It's like the gamma is too low, or the contrast too high. I'm sick and tired of dealing with ATN. If this 4K ain't right after a so called upgrade, (whenever that may happen) rather than send it back, I'll just lay it on the concrete, and beat it into dust with my biggest hammer. $700 won't make me, or break me, and smashing that aggravating thing to dust would be very satisfying indeed. I did it once with a cell phone, and you wouldn't believe the stress it releases! :)

I got a laggy pain in the butt too. Just bought ATN 4K from Utah Airguns with my first PCP, a .22 FX Impact. I was able to update the firmware with no problem. Then discovered that the battery charged to only 42% and now won’t charge at all, no WiFi or Bluetooth. The scope has frozen once to a point where I had to press the power button for 20 seconds to hard reset. Hopefully, ATN will be able to resolve these issues, but I’m not hopeful given the reviews of their customer service. I bought this for shooting pests at night on my acreage, mostly rats. The infra night vision works well. If you don’t need night vision, I would wait until they fix their buggy software or get a less problematic optical scope for less money. I have Leapers scope on my TX200 that is so much better than this ATN 4K for day shooting and for way less money.

Funny in a way, that something so expensive, can be so full of problems. I messed around a little yesterday, with the new firmware, and Blu-tooth still isn't working. However I noticed BEFORE the upgrade (haven't checked again) that if you search for a Blu-tooth device with a phone or tablet, the 4K shows up with BOTH Wi-Fi AND Blu-tooth, however the menu only allows turning Wi-Fi on or off, and I still can not "link" my ATN rangefinder to the scope. :(

If you ever get the bluetooth working between the scope and rangefinder please let me know. That is the configuration that I am interested in. Would be perfect for ground squirrel shooting.

Hummm, I've been trying REAL hard to like my 4K Pro, but I dunno? Had to take the SD card out, to look at some recorded footage. Actually not too bad. Just no where what I see in the viewfinder! Guess I may have a lemon. Also had some lock-ups, and had to re-set zero a few times.

Well, a couple of things. Heard a rumor that the 4K Pro will only link to the new ABL rangefinder, which is not available yet, and will not link to the older Laser Ballistic models. Also read that using the filter with the small hole, and then the extension on the scope, is supposed to help with the day time image. Have not tried yet, but I know mine, as is, has a very washed out image. Maybe this trick will work. Still upset I can't use my $300 ATN rangefinder with my new $700 scope.

Yes the ABL rangefinder is the only one that will link to the 4K Pro. AND, it has not even began to ship yet !!! AND when it does, it will probably be as buggy as the scope. Here's a reply I got from ATN, when I asked if my current ATN laser ballistics 1000 ($300) would link to the 4K Pro.....

Hope all is well with you today.

I would be glad to assist you in regards to your question the Laser ballistics is compatible with the x-sight II not with

the 4K x-sight ,the new Auxiliary ballistic laser 1000 which as not been released yet is for the 4K x-sight Pro.
