Hey guys, new to the forum, but I've been a long time lurker.
I have been looking at the ATN X-Sight 4K Pro 5-20x Smart Ultra HD for a bit and while leery of all the negative reviews, the positives were very compelling to me. I found a few used 5-20 4K's on Craigslist and eBay in the $500 range, which isn't bad for a $799 (on Amazon) scope. But I was worried about warranty work and ATN only covers the original owner.
Then I came across a Dvor ad with the ATN 4K OPMOD listed as expiring soon for $665 (now expired). You may already know this, but I didn't, and a quick search showed the OPMOD is an Optics Planet special edition with an extended battery pack ($97.05 on Amazon) and lifetime warranty. Optics Planet (and Amazon) have this listed at $699, but Optics Planet also listed it on their eBay store for $657.
I confirmed with Optics Planet that their OPMOD warranty is good on eBay items sold and made an offer of $600 which was never acknowledged. I then made an offer of $625 that was immediately accepted. I'm not much of a penny pincher, but felt this was a pretty good deal with the OPMOD package and extended warranty. Just wanted to share.
Now to find a deal on an Impact.
