I currently have a Atlas-clone bipod on my Wildcat that I bought from Utah Airguns, and after a long week of use, I really like the functionality of it and I want to change it out for the real deal. I was hoping to get some info/opinion from Atlas bipod owners and see if it's worth it to go with the PSR (fore and aft limiting bosses, non-rotational legs) over the cheaper V8.
Do the extra features on the PSR benefit us airgunners?
One of the things I'm trying to pay attention to on my Wildcat is weight. As it currently sits, my setup is like 8.6lbs. If I were to buy an Atlas V8, it would be the BT10 model with the 2 screw clamp which comes in at 11oz. If I went with the PSR, they don't make a version with the low profile 2 screw clamp, so it would have to be the BT-46-LW17 that has the quick detach lever and weighs 13.61oz. Ideally if they made the BT46 with 2 screw clamp, I would just buy that, but unfortunately they don't.
Do any of you guys have a BT-46/PSR bipod on your rifle and find that the extra features are noticably "worth it"? I'm really scrutinizing weight here because I plan on replacing my scope and everything I am looking at is heavier than what I have on the Wildcat now.
Thanks!
