Not even close but the Atlas does come at price. It’s a pure joy to use.

The atlas is awesome, but costs almost $ 300. Very expensive. Heres an alternative. Its a copy of an atlas that only costs $35 or $40. Just a thought.http://www.new-greenbase.com/list.asp?id=6076

Im going to catch hell about this, but. I bought one of these and like it so much, I bought another for my other gun. Had both in a weeks time!!
FastEddie and I are going to Purist hell. But mine are flawless and tight. At least for now, with no signs of loosening up. Ive never had it on a powder burner and my Airguns are not beating the hell out of it to test it, But I bought em specifically for my air rifles.

I have an Atlas I bought from AOA and after all the talk about the knock-off Atlas I bought one to look at. One is on my 22 Wildcat and the other is on the 25 Wildcat. I would have to get them both out side by side to tell them apart. I hate the idea of the knock-off stealing from Atlas, but Atlas is one of the most expensive out there making them a good target.

Hawken’s are Chinese knockoffs. Essentially stolen from Atlas  using cheaper components. There are reviews comparing the two but I went with the true Atlas.

It has to be seen and used in the field to be truly appreciated. It’s a solid, beautifully engineered piece of kit.

These are knock-offs. DHgate is A Chinese importer I believe. It shipped directly from Hong Kong and was at my door, DHL, in 5 days. I’m typically a purist, but I couldn’t see spending 300 on a bi-pod that gets gentle use. I’m going to throw one on the M-14 and beat the hell out of it this spring, to see how it holds up. I can do it because they are so cheap. Most here that have them like them. See how fast they sell when one hits the classifieds. I have to say I’m impressed with them, from my airgun use. They lock up tight. They are solid. Well put together. All mechanics work flawlessly. They could have left the Atlas name off them. I have another one being delivered next week for my .22 Cricket. The biggest thing is the silver locking lugs are not as thick and are not perfectly milled and the throw lever isn’t perfectly milled. But, they lock up tight and solid on mine.

Note: I would not trust one with my life, I would go Atlas. And I trust my Duty Weapons and systems everyday with my life, and the Public’s. I guess Im saying, Go real for real world. Atlas is one of the best, But, this is just an airgun to me after all

Here it is on the .25

Atlas rail, Only took about 10 minutes to install. I have a drill press, but not necessary. Marked my holes, Drilled through, Counter sink the back side with a spade wood bit so the nuts sit in flush and screw it together. Real easy.

This is how I did mine. You can get the T-nuts and Button screws at True Value Hardware for a couple bucks if you dont want to order them.
