Athlon scope FYI

8 days ago i sent in an injured 10 x 40 x56 scope , seems i turned the turrets a bit far ?. (i sent in on monday they rec'vd on thursday ) I got back today 8 day turn around .

What a lifetime ,( no receipt, no registration) warrantee !!!!!!! no charges and replaced the scope with a new one .

I have been using this on a bench rest powder burner And a springer air rifle , never had a problem .

Only slightly related but I have too tell a fun story. Yesterday I mounted my G2 Ares BTR in a cheap 20 moa canted mount which is apparently screwy. Long story short I couldn't sight my 6mmBR in at 100Y, all the downward turret travel and left windage was used up. In spite of that it was still easy to holdover and holdoff using the reticle to connect on the steel at 500Y and 785Y. I love all .2 mil reticles!!!!

I've only had to send one Athlon scope back out of 15 or so of them. It was because the Helos 1-10x28 doesn't have side focus thus making the image out of focus at my diopter setting. Basically that scope is ok for young eyes but not so much for older people if the magnification is higher than 5x.

I've decided that I am just not buying anymore 1-8's or 1-10's unless the scope has side focus!!! Instead of trying another 1-10 I requested a different scope which Athlon kindly exchanged for me. Things like these have sold me on this company!

Hopefully in 2022 they'll include side in their 1-10's??!!

Athlons no fault no ask warranty is real and they are fast at getting it back to you fixed or replaced! Steve, glad to hear they swapped a different one out for you and yes, I do hope more companies build side focus for lower magnification scopes! I purchased an Athlon Ares BTR Gen2 2.5-15x50 FFP for that reason, lower magnification with 10yd min!
