I suspect the reason for the low closeout price on those Gen1 Argos scopes is because they have the ATMR reticle. That was not a popular reticle. The Gen2 scopes have the APLR2 reticles.
If they had the APLR style reticle, I'd buy some.

Well I decided to pull the trigger and get one from Amazon for $250 for that price I thought why not. I want to see how will it it work in an HFT setup on a future rifle I plan on getting.
It's my first FFP and sure feels substantial. I actually like the reticle it will be my first scope with this style. Come with the plastic washers to add a zero stop top feature. I'm not into spending big money on glass anymore I usually get the UTG and stay under $200 so this was a splurge for me lol! I'll report back on how it goes but I like what I see so far.

for the price seems hard to beat really. just a little heavy but for a target setup should be fine I think.

How do these stack up against the fixed swfa ss series? Been scratching my head at scopes all day!

I think the SWFA comes ahead in certain ways, especially when dialing for waaaay out there, but the Argos had better glass than any of my SWFA's. That was confirmed with different friends when we were comparing, and of course the Argos is more versatile.
