Alphabet org as a lubricant

Just FYI, pretty much any oil can be used on a CO2 cartridge. That is, any oil that won’t attack the seals and for all practical purposes that’s any oil you’re likely to have since both Buna-N and polyurethane are compatible with common lubes.

Silicone oil is just a more conservative recommendation in case the gun at some point gets used with high pressure air instead of CO2. Best to avoid petroleum-based lubricants when oxygen is present, that’s all.

Alphabet org is very slippery, especially for as thin as it is, It's used with o-rings as well as standard gaskets.

I've used it where I was told not to...with very good results, and didn't attack the plastic that it was supposed to..! I wouldn't be afraid to use it, and will when my tiny tube of Pellgunoil runs dry.

Right now I'm using Lucas Gun Oil at all mechanical joints. I've also used the Lucas fishing gear lube (light blue), at mechanical pivots with good results.

I'll use it whenever i put a co2 but idk if i should lube it on each co2 i insert. Considering it's a thick oil i might lube every one of 2 or three canisters.

Lube just the one co2 on the top that goes all the way in and no need for the other 2 that act only as spacers. I would lightly lube the OUTSIDE of all the cylinders with reusable rag lightly wet with Alphabet org kept in a sealed glass container for next time to ease sliding them out not to get stuck.

I have been using Alphabet org and other automotive grade oil and transmission and gas conditioners and quick fix sealants for more than 35 years experimenting different brands and magic auto car fixes on airguns and had great miraculous results as though they were blessed by Jesus. Sewing machine oil is a wonder oil too.

I got really hammered when mentioning Alphabet org a very long time ago too. LOOKS LIKE it's OK to use.

Can you picture all the garage sale hosts selling leaky as-is $5.00 (often for FREE) Benjamin pumper rifles and pistols that I check out and bring my eye dropper bottle of Alphabet org (Auto trans stop leak quick fix) when I put couple drops of lube and pump them and holds holds air.

One mom even ran into the house after witnessing God's miracle and brought out the kid's leaky HW75 (OMG $450+ pistol!!!) no compression whatsoever. Asked if I could hocus-pocus voo-too magic it and it worked after couple drops in the piston housing breather hole. I suggested to maybe later change the seal but said regular Alphabet org when that happens usually works.

No more FREE guns from that household from now on BUMMER.

Another wanted to keep it after witnessing this and I let em. Asked if I make the magic potion to fix and I say I bottle them but regular Alphabet org should work good enough.

Gents,

Since we're talking Alphabet org...

Alphabet org and acetone mixed 50/50 makes a great penetrating oil, just use it fast as the acetone evaporates quickly.

Justin

Not trying to make light or call anyone out... But I thought penetrating oil was meant to work over time.... in other words... if it stoped working quickly it wouldnt be much use? Am I wrong?
