Ataman BP17 Sub-Compact Bullpup, .22 caliber, regulated, PCP Airgun

It’s that time.. new airgun time! In this video I take the .22 caliber Ataman BP17 sub-compact bullpup out for a spin and boy was it a good time. Ataman makes top of the line airguns that simply perform. They are clean, precise, accurate, and really fun to shoot. The new BP17 is no exception to the rule. It’s lightweight, easy to shoot, very accurate, and looks pretty darn cool too. Want to see how we did? Just watch the video!

Visually, top of the Bull Pup bunch. My purchase choice between this and one other...because of the sound, I went for my other choice. Will show at a later date.

Just a little loud for my circumstance.

Please explain your comment ?

It's annoying to see a comment like this (good or bad) with no explanation. Very unprofessional/sportsman like.

The BP17 doesn't have a "moderator",

What is that hanging off of the end of the barrel...looks somewhat like a silencer to me (by definition, no, it's not a "moderator"). Or Mitigator might be an accurate word.

And just how do you know about its "efficiency" ? I'll add, what do you mean by that ?

"On paper"... Funny, maybe that's why there is more than one manufacturer, design, style... To make something that fits every ones likes. Or are you the end-all, be-all decision maker to the air gun world.

While I am new here, I've seen some very odd responses to posts, seems more than in other forums that I visit.

Mike,

I just compared the stats on the websites. It tells the story. Atamans BP17's fill pressure is 300bar fill 24 shots (smaller res), 24 ft-lbs with 15grain.

Lelya is 300bar fill is 60shots, and 30fpe with 18grain.

About thr moderator, yes, I admit I was not completely correct. It is actually a shroud (no baffels). Lelya has baffels. That was what I meant, I stand corrected.

I don't want to be "an end all, be all decision maker". Just putting my in put on it since I own a direct competitor's compliment gun.

My intentions were not to bash it, just to point a few things out. I would like to own one too. My son has also show interest in it too, and at the price point still is a good buy.

Thanks for your clarification.

Being new to PCP guns and this forum (others on other forums do this too), some make comments that don't have full explanations, just very general comments with little substance, that a new person might take as gospel, and toss any new gun aside without actually learning about the gun itself. It MAY be perfect for them, but with semi negative and negative comments "without" any explanation...should be left outside the forum. Please explain..!

Me, I don't take one or two peoples comments, good or bad, as the end all be all, before learning about any given thing for myself...but many do. It would just be nice / informative, when comments are made, please explain the short, couple of word sentenced comments so us new guys/girls can learn from others that may be more experienced. Like...nice gun but I wouldn't buy it (not a direct quote)... WHY..? Be helpful, rather than just a useless comment with no background information.

Just like in all other sports, like, some may not need to go 330mph to have fun in a race car..! The little BP17 could be just the gun for many.

Why don’t you ask why instead of “Very unprofessional/sportsman like” coming half cocked at me? Now who’s the one that is Very unprofessional/sportsman like. How copy?
