Ataman AP16 Compact - wow!

...well, when I saw they were due back in stock I ordered one, and now they are back ordered until 9/2 instead of delivered today...wtf...!?!...
...did anyone who was waiting get one...???....did backorders out number the supply or was the shipment delayed...again...???....
...I guess I should not have canceled my replacement order and messed aboot...or did that even matter...???...LoL...
...methinks I will just sit tite...although...there is a refurbished BP17 in stock...!!!!...LoLoL...

I learned my order did not get cancelled... but doesn’t matter because on the phone they said only got a few pistols so on order 7.5 months and still nothing. I read some place else discontinued! I’m starting wonder if Krale can get them the states definitely won’t.

I've had this one for probably 5 years. The air cylinder will not come off unless it is degassed. Added the finger groove grip, moderator and 4X scope. Ragged hole at 50' and around 2" at 50 yards with el'cheapo Wal*Nards Crosman pellets. Sent it back TWICE because it wouldn't index the magazine reliably. Ended up fixing it myself by building up the magazine paw with a spot of silver solder. Has worked flawlessly ever since

...the AP16 from Krale shipped with this cute little mod...it has a series of baffles…it actually works but the Tanto works better...
...it is like twice the size of this mod so it should but if I did not have a Tanto and an adapter from before hand this one would help a lot and perhaps suffice...

...personally I would get an AP16 at PA whilst I had the chance and use the Tanto...IMHO the Ataman mod is better than nothing and very compact but not worth the increase in price at Krale...IMHO...as I already had a Tanto and the adapter mine will probably sit on a shelf...that said I do not plan to get rid of it as it is half the size of the Tanto....literally pocket sized...
...if you want an extra air tank and want a tiny mod it might be worth the extra $$$ shopping @Â Krale as they seem to be the only ones with any AP16 air tanks now...

Hapo - have you gotten yours yet from Krale? I should've asked you to order a few .177 magazines for me as I refuse to pay $30 shipping for 2 $20 mags.Â
I took the AP16 .177 into the back yard today as I think I found a pellet it really likes after a lot of searching. My backyard is a real pita for shooting with swirling winds in both directions and sometime from the front/back/sides - I need a couple of wind flags as I know I could a little better than below. Also a bit tricky with a duplex reticle.Â
H&N FTT 8.6gr. Bought the 4.50, 4.51 and 4.52 from Trenier to test and the 4.52mm is doing really well. Even in the wind it's much more predictable that the JSB 10.3 or 13.4gr pellets have been.

5 shots at each target, 6 on the lower right. Each ring on the targets is 1/2". Didn't pull out a ruler but the top left group appears to be right around 1".

Hapo - I can't make heads or tails of what Ataman is doing. I just got an email from Airgun Depot advertising the whole new shipment of Ataman stuff. Most everything is in stock there for the moment.

...parts are drying up...stuff that was backordered @ PA has been removed form the site...parts are spotty @ Krale...
...in retrospect I wish I had bought a standard @ PA and a compact barrel and two tanks and some magazines @ Krale, but when I ordered my compact from them I truly believed PA was never going to land another order...
...of course I would not be able to do that anyway as the .22 compact barrels are out of stock...as are the .22 cal standard tanks...but the standard .22 barrels are in limited stock...but not the .17 standard barrels...but the standard .17 cal tanks are...so if you wanted to buy a compact .17 barrel and compact .17 cal tank you would still be in luck...
