Hi all just received a new AP16 standard and it showed up empty of air and I can’t get it to fill up. Air just goes out the barrel. I tried my trail charger and using my carbon tank and neither will work. Any ideas

Cock it and put the safety on, then try to fill. You may have to open the valve a little more than trying to fill it slowly.

Good advice. Main valve isn't seating. I was going to recommend removing the hammer spring, but I think the above advice is better and should do the trick.
If not, you may need to pull the valve and inspect it.

YES...just pull the cocking lever back to full cock, then add air. As soon as you get a little (10 bar, doesn't take much) pressure, you can return the lever to the closed position.
How do I know this ? I've run my AP16 out of air a few times! Easy to do when you are having a good time..!

It also works if you are hot swapping air cylinders. Cock it before you remove one air cylinder, if not the new filled cylinder will just empty itself. Speaking from experience!
