At it too long I guess hw97 in 177

so in January I got a hw 97(177)I absolutely love shooting witch translate to about 1 1/2 hours a night or evening most times more again I love this thing and I’m kinda obsessive but there’s nothing I can do about that. My question is has anybody else gotten tennis elbow from cock in these guns to long it’s now in both elbows and yes I love this gun more than both my pcp’s I like my 22 but my wife don’t just for the record I am in ok shape I install windshields for a living so I am very strong. Just wondering.

After an elbow sprain I had difficulty with my 97kt it hurt every time I pulled the bar. I took a scrap of PVC 1/2 pipe(I think) maybe 1foot Long I slid it over the lever a few inches and it makes cocking easier. I wrapped some black electric tape around the cocking bar (that’s what I call it) to protect the finish.

this was a simple fix for a painful problem.

...dang , you must be doing 200 shots per night or something.....or those hw97's are harder to cock with that shorter cocking lever.....i have had my shoulders dislocated playing football and my neck jammed - those are the areas of my body that protest magnum springers for me any more. i was in a sling one time for a week or so (hatsan 125 , and turkish webley patriot beat me up pretty good, but the worst was a brand new or unfired .177 uk webley patriot).....you may have to give your inflamed areas 4-5 days of rest, man.....good thing it's co2 weather , huh ? one time i gave myself a small hernia cocking a .22 theoben eliminator / beeman crow magnum that had the gas spring pumped all the way up. that was probably 60-70 lbs of cocking force. - rane on .
