ARTEMIS P15 22 Cal - Shooting H&N Baracuda 21.14 gr Pellets [Video]

ARTEMIS P15 22 Cal - Shooting H&N Baracuda 21.14 gr Pellets:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGYXEOLANI8&feature=youtu.be

I usually get a new rifle, do a bunch of 'dirty barrel' test shots, then clean the barrels / lead in / continue..
Not this time around, The P15 has been so much fun that I have just continued shooting it.. 😜
I start with Crosman Premier 14.3 gr Hollow Points since they're cheap and light..
My P15 loves those things. Usually, I'd move onto more pellets - Gradually going up in size & weight..
Nope, not this time.. I had some left over H&N Baracude 21.14 gr pellets kicking around,
so I figured I'd get the rifle/scope combo sighted in with those, and then send some down range..
No editing - Roughly 10 minutes of real time shooting using audio/voice for the chrono.
The full chronograph data results [PDF Screenshot] is at the very end of the video - If you'd like to skip ahead

🙂👍

2manyAirGuns,

The indoor range is 10 Meters.
I don't get to get out and play - and shoot long distance again til' it warms up here again in NY.
So until' July, I'm stuck plinking at short range. 🤣

[Edit] BTW, Thank you for asking!
That reminded me to double-check the video description, and sure enough, I forgot to add that.
Distances has been updated now. 👍

Glem.Chally,

Agreed! As much as I love long distance shooting, I have an absolute blast indoors at 10m!
It's nice to hear that you and others are also shooting inside, and having just as much fun!

Thanks man, and funny you should mention that..
I'm not sure if you spotted it yet, but, I did a PP700 vid the other day - Just for you..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1itOyRKZZyA

I was having issues with my chronograph syncing, so it was a bit confusing..
That said, I made sure to jot down the numbers and add them in the description.
That was the PP700 firing the 14 grain Crosman Premiers..

I had the PP700 out, and fired a few of these heavy 21 grain rounds through it today..
No adjustments - so the points of impact were a little bit low.. A touch to the left also..
Other than that, for a pistol, I was impressed, and would say it's pretty spot on!

It could have taken out a zombie-squirrel or something that size at that distance for sure! 🤣

I plan on doing a few more vids for each of my setups - firing a handful of different rounds..

Then, I'll probably do some sort of comparison vid, or compilation..

We'll see.

🙂👍

I was just chatting with Erlis [Orion] on YouTube,
and he asked me what starting pressure I used..
Oops, not only did I Not top the gun off [250 Bar Max] I didn't even 'top' it at the 200 Bar that I usually do.
I was shooting the night before, and topped it at 200, but, then I came back and shot it for a while..
When I did the test the next afternoon, refilling totally escaped my mind.
If I had to guestimate, I'd say the pressure was probably 150-175 Bar..

Then for the ending pressure, I just double checked:
If my peepers are seeing this right, It's down @ 80 Bar..

Thanks for the picture Sam! I think I should be writing here instead on YT :) It's jut a habit I have to check YT when baby is up at 3:00 AM

You're welcome Erlis, and yeah.. No doubt! haha
It sounds like your baby and I have the same sort of 'sleep schedule'... Lucky to get a little bit, but then right back up and wide-eyed again..
Ah, the joys of sleep insomnia..

Roachcreek,

Right on! 12 Yards - You've got me beat! 😜

The chronograph that I'm using is the Competition Electronics ProChrono DLX.
Then to use it indoors, I use their Competition Electronics Indoor Light System

The chronograph would not work at all indoors - no matter what I tried..
I tested it in several locations both in my vape shop and in my apartment.
As soon as I added the light setup, everything worked Great!
[I can probably even get a reading if I flung a rubber-band through it] 🤣

[Edit] A bit more info about the setup:

This version of chrony has a built in bluetooth module, so it will connect wirelessly..
There are phone apps and a PC app called "Digital Link" that sync and tether to the chrony,
and if you use that, and punch in the projectile weight, you'll get FPS and Velocity.
There are other things like Naming, Notes, Location/Temp/Humidity, Etc..
Auidio/Speech output is another nice feature - Heard in the video..

When viewed on the chrony screen, you see the basic fps and shot info..
When viewed on the phone/computer, things are just a bit nicer / more in depth..

You can modify everything, save everything, and send everything, so,
IMO, these are worth their weight in gold.

Tech support is also Extremely helpful and responsive - As long as you Call.

[Fake Update - I'm going to blame it on sleep deprivation]

While filming videos recently,
I noticed that I could hear the micro-motor in my DSLR auto-focus lens..
Nothing crazy, just a slight buzz buzz buzz, but, Silence Is A Priority! So:

I made this custom Minolta/Sony Alpha-mount to 1/2"-20 UNF adapter,
and now I can use my DonnyFL suppressors to efficiently quiet things down!

🤘 😜 🤘

Hi there Marie!
And welcome to the party! 😃

While I'm here, I should probably leave a little update:

As much fun as I've been having with the P15.. I Still Haven't Cleaned The Barrel!
Wow.. I can just imagine how filthy it might have been from the factory, then add in the grime from about 1,500 pellets or so..
No real clue though until' I actually run a patch or patches through..
How could I forget?
Easily.. Because this thing has been so ridiculously accurate and consistent. And it just continues to impress me every time I shoot it.

I love this lil' pup. The thing is just awesome!

🙂👍
