Arkansas Deer Hunting

New to air guns and this forum.

Just want to ask about possible air rifles to use for deer hunting in Arkansas. I know of the AirForce Texan .457 barely meets the kinetic energy requirement, and it also claims to be the most powerful air gun in production. It seems my options would be very limited. What are other options that would be legal?

Here's the law;

You may not use the following for deer:

Air rifles that do not meet all of the following requirements:

  • Are at least .40 caliber
  • Shoot a single, expandable slug
  • Produce at least 400 feet/pounds of energy at the muzzle
  • Are charged from an external tank.

Thanks

You can get up to 500 FPE with the standard Texan .45 but you'll loose 100 FPE with SS or Carbine versions.
