Are Leapers scopes junk?

SiscakiddWell that sucks!! Sorry you got a lemon, any manufacturer can have a bad product slip thur....usually ends up in my hands, good luck with your next choice .

I think I'll be heading to the local gun shop next time so I can check the product in store and make sure there are no obvious defects before mounting and sighting. I have a Bass Pro, Cabelas, and a couple other good local gun shops close by.

Junk or not? It depends on what you are going to use it for, mount it on and the size of your wallet.
Shooting beer cans in your backyard, hunting or competitive shooting all have different demands and requirements.
And if you have bought an inexpensive airgun you will probably be happy with an inexpensive riflescope, on the other hand if you have bought a high end competition rifle and want to begin shooting International Field Target competitions I think you should buy a specialized scope for that purpose.
My recommendation is that if it's possible have a look at and through the scope you're going to buy, the second best thing to do is have a look through some friends scopes, what's works good for me might not be the best for you.

I have had multiple Leapers scopes and they've all been excellent. I did have an issue with an imperfection in the lens in one unit. Leapers replaced it no questions asked within two weeks despite that I waited over a year to call it to their attention. Awesome customer service experience! I have no reason not to recommend them. Leapers are all I use.
