Are dot sights springer rated?

Some are ok some puke. I had one on my phantom that looked like it was hit with a hammer (very cheap daisy). Had another (dont remember who made it as I gave it away) that worked just fine.

My issue with the dot sights is that there is no magnification (on those that I have used). They work ok for large size targets at close range, but no so good for me at longer ranges. I have had 3 - and still don't like them. Since starting on airguns, I am no longer happy with MOA-soda can at 20 yards. I want to try to shoot "that hair" on the squirrel, rather than just in the general direction and hope to hit something.

I have used them on springers (mainly harsh cocking and shooting Hatsan pistol and one or 2 in the rifle category as well) with no issues. I have not used them for thousands of shots on springers. YMMV as always

I used three - Tacticon, OTW Red Dot and Pinty - all less than $50 on GAMOs. None have lasted with less than 100 rounds. The dots turn into rectangles and jelly.
