Anyone use the Air-Chrony MK3 ?

Folks, I finally decided to buy a LMBR unit. The R2H, since it allows to use the scope to shoot for groups while testing the velocity.

First impressions, after a QUICK test :

- WOW. Promising ! No read errors. Consistent readings. Portable. Sturdy. Works well with low ambient light. Displays all the stat data that you can expect from a chronograph. 11 shots with the Streamline and JSB 15.89 gr: average velocity = 920 fps; std dev = 2 fps.

- BUT... User's manual is BASIC... Customers deserve a better guide. The RS-232 interface is just OK for people who know how to get a Windows driver update and to check the COM port# in Device Manager, and to use PuTTY to open a serial port. In 2019, you cannot expect from people that they will be able to set up a connection based on this outdated technology. I was able to set it up, simply because I started to work in ICT decades ago 😃

Bottom line : Seems to be an outstanding product in terms of consistency and portability. But doesn't have any long term perspective if not upgraded to allow bluetooth connectivity, and if no computer and/or mobile app.

Will do much more testing in the coming weeks, to confirm accuracy/consistency. As far as I'm concerned, they are the aspects that really matter (with portability, of course).

At the indoor range (LOW light) ... 60 shots, not a single read error ! This LMBR seems to be reliable !
