Anyone still own a Semi-Auto PCP?

I’ve seen multiple semi autos (Fx revolution, Hatsan barrage/Bullmaster, Huben etc) come across the boards, but all have seemed to have issues. Has anyone owned one for a long time (more than a year) and had luck with them? Seems like it would be the holy grail of pcp’s to have one that shoots with the accuracy of the impact/crown that is somewhat reliable and easy to work on. Why FX doesn’t update the revolution with the smooth twist x barrel is beyond me.

It seems the Impact is, as of now, the holy grail of pcp design, accurate, high shot count, fairly compact, fast and smooth to cock. I see the appeal of semi auto, but to me personally, it is self defeating on an air gun, since most airguns have small magazines, limited shots and the process of refilling an air tank is much longer than center fire reloads. That said, due to the lack of any real recoil on pcps, semi auto is dandy for accurate rapid shots.

Semi auto seems to fall in the same category as 1000+ fps air guns and shrouded barrels (in the smaller calibers) they will build them because the buyers are there, because people will see "shrouded barrel" or "1200 fps" and think they need that. I fell into that line of thought when buying my first pcp. But after owning my marauder pistol, its just about as quiet with its shroud off as on, and as many veteran airgunners have proven, high fps tends to bring about poorer accuracy (in the smaller calibers).

For the complexity that semi auto adds to an air gun doesn't seem worth the payoff. I don't doubt they are fun to shoot though!

I have only had my wildfire for a short time but I do understand the fun factor with these rifles. Its a BALL to shoot. 50 pumps gets me 50 shots and the gun has just enough power to knock down all these pests hanging around this year (i mean really a good year for pest for me is 3 or 4 chipmunks in an entire season. This year Im up to 5 munks, 2 red squirrels, a starling, and I got a morning dove today) i can throw up some targets out at 20 yards and just spend an evening throwing lead and pumping air. As a plinker and a pest control rifle this is perfect. Yea its cheap (the cheapest actually) but the fun factor is what its all about. Even with my better rifles seeing a lot target time lately the little benny comes out with them and goes thru at least on fill of air. There is just something about shooting as fast as you can pull the trigger.
