Anyone own a extreme brand big bore?

I looked at the new company a few weeks ago. I just didn't have a real good feeling about them from their website, and being new owners of the business . Phone numbers are cell number, not a terrible thing but there is also no physical address listed for the business. I did some google searching and cross referencing search results and I personally did not come away with a real warm confident fuzzy feeling about them. Looks like a lot of social media hype, smoke and mirrors.... used car sales feel....etc Oh and I did submit an email via their contact page and never received a response. Just another red flag

So I ordered another AF Texan which was in stock and shipped the next day. I will make a beautiful custom walnut stock for it, so will not be giving anything up.

I just picked up the 457. Only one session out with it and was able to group better than my Texan 308. Only tried 280 gr so far so I'm still at first stage of finding the right projectile. I like it so far. Down sides are it is forward heavy and obviously an air hog. Otherwise, so far so good and hands down better than my 457 Texan.(I never found a bullet it liked)

Jeff, Did you purchase new from the Texas company? If you did how was the purchase experience? Delivery leadtime form order to shipped? etc....

I see Extreme Big Bore posting a lot on Facebook. Zip on any of the forums I hang out, GTA, AGN, AGG, etc. There are several new companies taking this route of only posting on FB. Sure seems strange. Also, lots of outlandish claims like taking a DragonClaw and doubling the power and getting 8 usable shots on air, and at 3,000 psi. Sure makes me go hummmmmm.

Yep.

Say anything negative and he will block you. He posted a video of one shooting a balloon. I said a balloon doesn't show accuracy. Need to shoot groups. Bam I was blocked.

Forums they can't block you but Facebook they can.

The guy is clueless to airguns. If he had any ability he wouldn't have just copied Brent's guns. They are out of date. Round piece of bar on top of a round tube. Then let's bolt the scope rail on to that. Least he could have redesigned and made a nice square breech that fits over the tube and had picatinny machined on the top.

He didn't even know what tethering is. I said you can't tether a 4500 psi fill gun. He went on ramblin about how his gun uses so many psi and the texan should use this much. Nothing to do with tethering. I think that's why he stays on his facebook page. A few said you need to get someone that knows what there talking about to represent your guns.

I've owned a extreme for about 4 years now ,mine was made before the change in ownership of the company it's chambered in .408 I will tell you fit and finish is great , it shoots very nice and 1 inch group at 100 plus yards is a easy task , now the new extreme John and eb are doing a fantastic job with the new rifles ,not only did they lower the price they added features and options , they are top notch big bores and also a top notch company with great customer service
