I have a higher end mirrorless style camera that I use for video production, and I just ordered a mount so I can secure it on my rails. Has anyone done anything similar in the past?
Anyone mount a full size camera to your scope?

I've played with several camera's and have found the camera in my I phone six superior to them all for this application and just for general photography. Hard to think that could be true . See what others say.

That's interesting. One of the reasons I wanted to experiment with this setup is so I could still use the eyepiece of the camera like the eyepiece on a traditional scope, but still get high quality 4K video and slo-mo 1080p.
My weaver mount should be here this weekend, so I'll have some time to play around with it then.

Yes i did it. Works really well as long as you dont mind not seeing the crosshairs. I put a scope ring upside down on my scope and put an old picitanny rail that i cut up with a dremel on the scope ring upside down. I grinded the bottom of the rail flat and drilled a hole in it for the screw to go through that screws into the camera. Works great for video cams and my action camera too. I dont have a pic on me now but is cheap and easy. Like me.

Well, I was planning on mounting my camera to my scope, so I'd still have the crosshairs and such !
