Anyone know about this gun? "Poison Frog"

The reason I'm interested in this gun is because like people have mentioned it is like the Leshiy, but solves the issue of the offset barrel. Allowing the use of different moderators. also uses the AR style grip rather them a unique style grip.

Both areas that the Leshiy needs to address. I loved my Leshiy but I couldn't get over the fact that there was absolutely no functional reason for the shroud to be offset and that Ed used a unique style grip.

If Ed would correct this design Flaws the Leshiy would be the perfect gun!

The title of this post is basically click-bait on this site...

Yeah no poop! Just noticed the fbclid uri parameter

Sorry what is "Fbclid" ?

Updated the title.

Easy to check out if your oppinion about that there was absolutely no functional reason for the shroud to be offset -- just fold Leshiy and look at it from the end barrel side. Pay attention where the reservoir goes and if it would be possible to make the "normal" moderator, around the barrel. I think at that point there will not be any more questions about the "no functional reason". I just want to remind while designing Leshiy I was intended to get as much as possible in as less size as possible. :)

Aesthetically EdGuns really ring my bell. If I wanted an AR butt, I'd buy an AR. Just my two cents.

Understood. But a few mm reduction in diameter of the shroud and the folding reservoir would clear the shroud easily. and if volume is a concern? a few mm longer would easily add additional volume. But the ability to easily add additional suppression/moderation would vastly out weigh the design IMHO.
As of now there are a few adapeter but they make the Leshiy look like the barrel is bent.

You could also consider increasing the offset of the folding hinge to allow a few mm's of clearance for the shroud.

Is the Leshiy the only gun you make with the offset barrel design?

What about the Layla, or the Matador? Are those shrouds inline with the barrel?

Let me start from the last question -- all my guns are with the offset moderator. Since that is a great way to make the gun as compact as possible and the moderator as effective as possible. While designing the gun it is always a compromise between the size and effitiency. It makes me giggling seeing somebody improving the moderator -- just giving it more length. I am not an idiot and I clearly understand that the longer moderator is -- the more effective it is. But, the key is the compromise of the effitiency and size. Even five more cm makes a great play while shooting from a car, for what all my guns are designed.

And, thus, your idea to make the moderator just "thinner" in order to have the resevoir folded makes no sence, as "a little thinner" means huge lost of the inside volume, read it as huge lost of the effitiency. To make it longer? No problem, but the average distance between the trigger and the butt dictate the size of the gun. If I want it to be folded I cannot make no reservoir longer (one will not be able to should it comfortable enough) or the barrel/moderator longer as while folded with the normal size reservoir the moderator will be longer than the reservoior and there will not be any compactness.

So, Leshiy is designed as the number of the compromises and you can believe me or not but every mm of Leshiy was calculated and set in the best way for that, main feature -- the compactness and effitiency. That is easy thing to get longer barrel -- just take the other gun with the longer barrel, moderator, over 1 meter length, but Leshiy was designed for other things and that is why I don't want to rebuilt it to make an ugly, absurd looking gun. It should stay compact, that is my oppinion. And when the shooter understand what he is taking it for -- he has no questions regarding everything, I believe...

I love my Leshiy, great design Ed.

+1. It's the most versatile, lightweight, and compact PCPs ever produced. Extremely durable and east to work on, and all around it's very efficient. I'm up to somewhere around 18,000 shots now with mine, it's still functional as if it were new. You're a genius Ed, no question about that 👍

PS - There's no need for an external moderator with the baffles available for it IMO.

I'm not trying to tell you how to design your product. (I'm just a nobody)
The Leshiy is an AWESOME little gun! for 80-90% of the users it is great as designed!
I'm only saying that it could be better.
The offset although it's your unique design. Is it's limiting factor for the other 10-20% of us who want additional moderation.
I know you are NOT an "Idiot" I never implied you were!
I'm sure you realize that there is a market that wants additional moderation, even if it does make you giggle. (It's a reality)

But again it's your company! I have no right to tell you how to build your guns.

All I'm doing is expressing my desire to have the prefect "Back Pack" gun that can be easily modified to do everything! (If someone so desires)
So far your gun (the Leshiy) is the closest thing out there. It just doesn't lend itself to customizing or personalizing it to an individuals taste. (I believe it could easily be the gun to fit everyones taste) But that's just MHO!

Not trying to offend you in any way.

Have a Great Night!
