Anyone have experience with Sightron II 6-24x42

I am looking for some higher end glass and would like something in a mil dot and can focus down to 14yds. Starting looking at Sightron III;s but can not pull the trigger on a thousand dollar scope for shooting airgun in my backyard. I then started looking at their fixed power 36x42 target scope but they may not have mil dot. The Sightron II 6-24 x 42 might work but not sure how something like this may compare to the Athlon Midas. Any other scopes I should look at? Mostly shooting at 16, 30, and 50 yards and would like at least 24 power.
Thanks

I bought a SII Big Sky 6-24x42 with the dot reticle a couple of years ago, this model has the same glass as the SIII's and will focus down to 10yds, the only issue I have with the scope is the turrets feel "mushy" when turning them and the clicks don't feel defined but have proved to be reliable in returning to zero and holding zero. This scope was originally going onto my Huntsman but the dot reticle is too fine and have been waiting to get a hold of a mildot model, instead it now wears a Leupold 6.5-20 EFR. I have no experience with the Athlon scopes but you won't be disappointed with the Sightron, a much underrated scope in my opinion 😉

I had that scope and although their are many good reviews on it I had a bad experience with mine. I just removed a Leupold 6-18X40 because it didn't have mildots. The TX200 was shooting very accurately with The Leupold. When I put the sightron on it was all over the paper. It didn't track right. I sold it the next day to a friend, who said he would send it in to get repaired. I took a 50.00 loss on a new scope. I replaced it with a 30SF Hawke sidewinder and couldn't be happier. You might get a good one, but it left a sour taste in my mouth and I am through with Sightron scopes.
