Anyone have a BSA ultra or scorpion

Looking at getting a pcp and dont want to go crazy on price. I am british and like the idea of a british gun. AA or BSA most likely. See you can get the BSAs on ebay for around 450-550 at the moment, gives me some budget for a scope and a bottle at that price. What do you think of them and anyone have any direct experience. I have a young family and I'm unlikely to get a ton of cash to drop on a more expensive set up.

I had an Ultra SE and it was a great shooting gun.

I would think this fits your wants perfectly.

I have an .22 Ultra MMC 12ftlb rifle. With the ldc and a depinger it is the quietest rifle I own. Boringly accurate even with tinned Crosman 14.3’s. The only down side to the rifle is not a ton of shots.

You didn’t mention the AA S200, I realize it’s not really British and an old as dirt model. I have one in .22 shooting around 14 ftlbs and would compare it directly to my BSA. The BSA is smaller feeling with less mechanical noise. Both are super accurate but the S200 does get more shots.

I have a BSA lone star which is essentially a scorpion. 22 cal FAC. Shot my best 100 yard group with that gun a few months ago. Shot count stinks but it’s still as accurate as any gun I’ve shot.
