Anyone Fitted a FX Smooth Twist To A Marauder?

I put a Lothar Walther barrel on my marauder and I would recommend choosing a barrel that is very close to the OD of the marauder barrel. I got the LW barrel that was .63" in diameter so I had to do quite a bit of machining. Plus the barrel is heavier so I would suggest getting a barrel that is .5" in diameter then machine down to the .437" marauder size. The LW barrel worked great but I have access to a lathe and mill. There are some who have done this with the ST barrels but I have not heard how it worked. Not sure how a drill press would do unless you can find true center using am edge finder and moving over to the true center for your pilot drill then transfer port final size. You also have to use an endmill to make a flat spot for the transfer port seal.

"DKL"I do not buy FX because of the ST barrels.
To pellet fussy and speed fussy and way too expensive...get an LW match or polygon you cannot go wrong

Thanks for the input. I am already using the JSB Kings to good effect and I understand that's what you have to use with the ST bbl. Is anyone selling a drop in LW for the Marauder? Or must you go the custom fitting route? How much $?

JSB Exact King Diabolo .25 cal. 25.39 gr. These are the red and black tin available in 350 count. I think most folks just call them Kings. I just now noticed they put Exact on the other pellets as well.

Thanks for the info on Gaska. Does he have a business name or just do a net search.

Not sure on the accuracy improvement in the 25 as it has a Green Mountain bbl. They make great bbls. for Ruger 22 rim fires. I was just curious to know if anyone had installed a FX bbl. on a Marauder and is it worth the effort and expense. I'm thinking it might be for the 22 but not so much in the 25 as it shoots pretty good as is.
