Anyone else?

So some may know from a previous post i made about my edgun matador getting stolen put of my car.

Well insurance payed me for it so i ordered a new from brian at edgunwest. Everything was good to go the gun and scope was on ots way to by fedex(my least favorite shipping co) and was excited to get a new gun like everyone always is. So you k ow of course i burned up that tracking number waiting for it.

This past Wednesday was the delivery date. I was gonna take off work and all to get the gun amd set everything up but i decided i should probably go to work and make the boss happy (even though thats impossible)

So Wednesday comes around amd i call fedex to see where mu package was to make sure i would be hime to sign for it. They told they didnt know where it was! So i go on about my working day and think to much about it. Well I got off work and called them again, this time they said it was delivered at my house at 3:30. I thought thats weird im sitting in my car at work which is 40 min from my home.

So i get home search eveywhere and no package.. no one was home when the package was delivered. (I have proof no one was home to sign for it) yhe driver signed my name and just left it on yhe portch and left.

So now i have to go through this bull crap to replace a gun that has now been stolen twice! Fedex is saying that i signed for even though its not my name on the paper. Im just really upset with that fact fedex os just lying right to me. And its seeming like they arent gonna make it right.

So now im out 2800 bucks or 2 matadors however you look at it.

Anyone else have bad experiences like this?

Fedex broke the law. Adult signature is required for airgun deliveries if I remember correctly. The driver by signing your name has commited purgury and fraud also. Call the po!ice and report the gun stolen and then bring up charges on fedex and the driver. My guess is the driver is sitting home right now sighting in his new gun. You say it doesnt happen but it happened to my son and we caught the driver on camera doing it. He was arrested for theft fraud and purgury.

Tell you what, If you can prove the driver did as you say he's probably going to lose his job. Now how you prove that I don't know. It also seems like a fellow would not take that chance. Are you sure some one else didn't sign for it? Thinking you might have a thief in the neighborhood that knows you well enough to know your name. Thinking out loud.

I have proof that my dad was at work at the time we work at the same company and my mom is on camera at work until 430 that night so yes im positive nobody else signed for. Ohh and i dont live in a subdivision or anything( I live in the country ). I have checked with the couple neighbors i have and they didnt sighn or even see the fedex truck come by my home.

I forgot to mention that who ever signed only signed my last name and spelled it wrong at that.

Ive been thinking about contacting the police about but i thought I would try to figure it out with fedex first. We're supposed to be checking or signatures and all that good stuff pretty soon.

I should probably go ahead and instal my security cameras we bought a year ago haha its crazy though where i live people stealing doesnt happen often at all amd now ive been hit twice in one month.

File a police report. And let law enforcement handle it.

Man, this sucks! I would definitely get FEDEX involved. You say you called the morning of the delivery date and they told you they didn't know where it was. Here's my take. If they didn't know where it was, it obviously wasn't loaded onto the truck for delivery. Do you have the tracking? Does it say "out for Delivery'? If it wasn't scanned as being loaded onto the truck, but scanned as delivered at 3:30, someone deliberately didn't scan it as being loaded and signed your name as being delivered. Whether the truck actually went to your house is in doubt too. All the person needed to do was sign it. There was only one person who could have signed off on it. I know UPS tracks their trucks with GPS, they know where the trucks are all the times. If FEDEX uses GPS, you could at least tell if the driver went to your house. This is the problem with some of the sellers shipping airguns. Not only is the package a dead giveaway but the name of the shipper is right on the label. As a previous poster suggested, get the police involved and don't let FEDEX do an internal investigation. Good luck

He hasn't got to prove a darn thing. He was the recipient of the package and he did not sign for it. In such a case, if there is no one at home, the driver is supposed to leave a note on the front door saying that they attempted a delivery and no one was home to sign. Fed Ex is supposed to make at least 3 attempts at finding you at home or Dead Eye could call them up and request that the package be left off at the nearest terminal and pick up the package himself. There is a darn good reason why Brian sends these packages from Edgun West requiring a signature upon receipt. If the driver signed Dead Eyes name for the package it will be a simple thing to prove that it is not Dead Eyes signature.

Fed Ex does crazy crap all the time and lies through their teeth about a lot of stuff. Had a package delivered to my door before Christmas which was the wrong address … left out in the rain!!! I called and informed them that they had screwed up addresses and delivered to the wrong house, said they would be by the next day to straighten it out. Two weeks later it was still sitting on my front porch and the piece of furniture made out of particle board was a mushy mess in the bottom of the cardboard box. I ordered a thousand dollar drone last year and they lost it in transit then they found it and lied about it for over a week after it was supposed to be delivered.

Don't know about Dead Eye, but I'd be having a up close and personal heart to heart talk with that driver. I drove a gasoline tanker for 35 years and if I had done my job the way Fed Ex drivers do … they'd still be picking up dead people from the road. Just sayin'.

I'd try Fedex again and go up the chain of command until you get to some one who's interested in listening. Fedex is more at stake then anyone I'd think they would be real interested in this and would "look into the driver" If he did this you're not likely his only victim. Police aren't going to take this very seriously if at all. I'd have to think the first and only thing they would say is "take it up with Fedex". Again no expert just thinking out loud. AND you don't want to falsely accuse either,

As others have stated there should be a record of this package which should be of real benefit to locating the place that it was lost stollen or what ever. I guess I have no more confidence in the police then I do the Fedex folks. What ever works. Good luck. Seems like there should be a solution

And you said who ever signed for it only used the last name and spelled it incorrectly. Is that a clue that perhaps it wasn't the driver or FEDEX seems mighty strange to me.

I boycott FedEx, even to the point of not doing business with any outfit that offers no other shipping option.

Twice FedEx left packages in my driveway, just outside my closed garage door and both times I ran over the packages. The first time the package had a thousand rounds of CCI rimfire ammo! Thankfully it was a glancing blow, so only broke a few of the plastic ammo boxes; but had even ONE round gone off it could have set-off a chain reaction with disastrous results. I called FedEx and read them the riot act, but they did the same thing a few months later. That time the package had several thousand pellets and an airgun scope. Missed the scope, but destroyed a lot of pellets. Yes, I did let FedEx know how LIVID I was!

FEDEX SUCKS!

Calbarry … can't blame Edgun West. I received a R5M long last week and Brian doesn't even put the name of the company it is being sent from on the shipping label. He simply puts the address of Edgun West on the label … so there is no way the driver could have known it was an air gun.

Yeah i cant say its his fault at all! I wish i knew what the box looked like... but im sure someone who deals with shipping guns knows whats goin on in the world.

The thing about the tracking is when i checked it was out for delivery. I checked again and it said it was taken off the truck and put back in yhe warehouse. This happened twice i believe.

If it was taken off the truck after it was loaded, there should be another scan when the package was moved/loaded again. If not, it looks like someone took it from the depot. It could have just been put on another truck without being scanned. Brian is going to have initiate the claim as he is the sender. Hopefully Fedex will refund your money if you don't want to pursue it any further.

Bummer.

LOVE fedex ( kidding kidding) . I as most do I believe get excited and track track track those packages. While home all day and tracking a packacge with a proto-type lefty stock sent to me for eval. Fedex said "delivered"! Now I was home, you couldnt get to me door w/out me knowing - the dog knowing, gates, ... . No one had been to my house. Called, delivered & truck not back so.... Got lucky and it was at a house on another road. NO one was home at my distant neighbor but , someone, HAD signed for it..

Now while you are bummed, it is NOT your claim. It is the Shippers claim and they ( in concert w/you) need to file the claim/collect the money & straighten it all out.

It was insured correct?

Now the good news. As long as it was insured and the shipper ( along with you) stay on top of it, keep detailed notes, record all calls if legal, use email and/or writing as much as possible - replace all the forms they say were lost or never recieved a time or two- you/the shipper (y'all) will most likely receive reimbursement.

I've dealt with UPS on a theft claim, stolen from by a warehouse worker who was putting lables with his brothers address on selected packages we learned. 6 months & 5 days and I had my money refunded.

I can lend you a QB if it eases the pain.
