Anyone casting the NOE 25 cal magnum hunters

I cast slugs and pellets

Depending on gun as how they seem to shoot , Some of my best ammo , I have molds made and Sizes I want from trial and error , I have had great success with slugs , I have tried many ways to make pellets and slugs from Swag, Cast , Hyd , AIr ,, I tried casting , I even tried hand swag , and Pellets for me are harder to get to fly long distances straight . With a slug you can always size down with a resizer or push threw sizer , But Diablo pellets MOST have different sized skirts then heads , but swagged ones cant ,as they wouldn't be able to come out of tooling unless it was a split assembly then , it would simply take too long to make them if you had to unbolt every few pellets ,

Let me know your gun and if it is choked and un-choked and your current tune , If you know your diameter this would be even better , like what size is your muzzle down to .0005

Or push 5 pellets threw bore and send them to me ,

I make ammo to try to be more accurate then I can buy not to save money , I have found so far I can make special heavy pellets in all caliber i just cant buy , but for regular weight pellets JSB are cheap and once cleaned and sorted they pretty good .

Slugs on other hand , costs are very expensive to buy , I shoot alot and i make them to be accurate to hunt with . Slugs just go way further then pellets accurately

Thanks for the offer Lou but I think that's a little more involved than I want to be right now. I'm just shooting a stock Hatsan Flash QE right now. It has a choked barrel and I'm not sure what the final diameter is right now. I haven't taken the full airgun dive yet and bought something that warrants tuning too much. I bought it just for small game hunting and it does that pretty well, so I'm really just looking to save some money and gain ammo independence. I handload for the vast majority of my powder burners so I think it'd be good to make my own pellets too. I just wanted to try these before I bought the mold to make sure they give the accuracy I need.

Where do you get lead to cast your own pellets/bullets? Do they sell it in ingots?

If you head over to the castboolits forum, there is a whole subforum on lead. People get it from a lot of different places. Probably the most common people talk about are clip on wheel weights (which you'll see abbreviated at COWW), but some people melt down range scrap, collect dental xray lead, or find scrap lead from various sources. There are also a handful of airgunners that talk about casting pellets over there.

Shooting them from my FX Crown. and they will do 1/2 to 3/4" group for a full magazine (16 rounds) at 25 yards. The Hunter Magnums are too long to fit in the FX magazine so I have not shot them much.

If you have some of the magnums poured that don't fit your mag and you wouldn't mind sending me a couple I'd appreciate it and I'd find a way to reciprocate. I use the single shot tray on my Flash QE 25 so pellet length really doesn't matter for me.
