I own one. The thing to remember is that the rangefinder simply sends the information regarding distance and angle to a smart phone app, which takes that info and calculates the holdover. All the magic happens in the phone app. You could take your ordinary rangefinder and simply type in the numbers yourself to a ballistics app, to get the same results. The MTC unit does the info input for you and then displays the holdover on the phone app, and/or speaks the holdover either through the phones’s speaker or through the supplied earpiece. The MTC unit is well made and the app is easy to use. Once you set up ballistic data in the app you simply point the rangefinder at whatever target at whatever range and the app speaks the holdover automatically.
