Anybody still like the Weihrauch HW100? I do.

I have 2, both laminate TK carbines, .22 and .177. I like the laminate with adjustable comb. These are fine rifles, accurate, robust, dependable. It has one of the few true 2 stage triggers. Because of that, it is the only rifle I own that I will walk with loaded and cocked. If properly adjusted, you could drop it out of a tree, and it ain't gonna fire. Not extremely powerful, nor a huge shot count. But, it has enough power to kill whatever I'm shooting, and after 40 or so shots, I'm ready for a break. I don't know a better rifle at its price.

This is a milk carton cap I nailed in my target tree, exactly 30 yards from the bottom step on my deck. The hole just below center is three shots from my new HW100, a .177. I was using shooting sticks, and I was getting cold and shaky, so I quit, but this rifle does this consistently.

Very well documented. Thanks for sharing.

I shoot a lot of .22s and find myself tuning them all for roughly 15fpe. At most distances I shoot, there is still plenty of punch for squirrel.

Wanted to note I have a recent HW50S. The only HW I've ever owned, and the nicest springer I've owned by far. It is .22 caliber, and the barrel in it is stellar.

I might just be lucky, but if someone asked, I'd be inclined to think HW can make a .22 barrel.

I own 4 Weihrauch spring air rifles and an HW100K in .177. The HW100 gets overshadowed in the U.S. since it's not the highest power PCP, nor does Weihrauch introduce a new flavor of the month to obsolete their previous models. They also don't release beta tester PCPs for guinea pigs. What they excel in is a precise, well designed "Mercedes Benz" air rifle. Fit and finish is as good as it gets, and the HW100 stands the test of time. It is one of my favorite PCP's. It is the oldest PCP I own and one which I'll never sell.

I bought the HW100 from Krale-Shietsport when the euro was trading favorably to the dollar. This HW100K has a 410cm barrel and a 105cc factory cylinder. The HW detachable air cylinder is made of steel and is heavy considering its limited air capacity. I was able to double the shot count with a larger aftermarket cylinder and tweaking the reg and hammer spring settings. The 105cc cylinder was replaced with a 185cc 295mm long cylinder from A&M gunworks in the U.K. The A&M aluminum air cylinder weighs less than half of the factory cylinder but holds nearly double the air capacity. The 295cm length matches perfectly to the factory barrel with LDC.. The photo below shows the rifle with the A&M cylinder and the take off factory cylinder below. Doubling the air capacity and lowering the rifle's weight by a pound is a nice trade off.

The HW100K is tuned to give 84 shots at 990 fps with 8.4 JSB's or 910 fps with its favorite pellet, the brown box 10.34 Crosman Premier.

I bought me a used .177 carbine laminate a while back to make into a useable gun for PCP FT. The Weihrauch single shot loader is SLICK!

I cut down the factory barrel to 310mm sub-12 Carbine length, choked, and threaded.

Then I bought a Lothar Walther blank and fitted it to the rifle, at 410mm, sub-12 Rifle length. I run a Ratworks aluminum Rifle length cylinder with this barrel for a better shot count.

I also lightened the hammer for a little quicker lock time and less movement at the shot. And extended the bolt probe to get the pellet fully seated into the bore at loading.

So now with a quick change of air cylinder and barrel, I can go from Carbine to Rifle. Works out well for a hunting/FT rig.

I love these old outdated underpowered heavy turds, lol

Nice looking rifle he reviewed on that video and it’s nice they’ve made some upgrades. I’m wanting one in a 20?

I agree, about 3 weeks ago there was a 100 FSB in .20 refurb on PA for sale. I was so close to buying it, waited and now it’s gone. The 110’s in .20 seem to have been replaced by .22’s. Maybe they were listed in .20 by error.

The HW100BP I'd like to own is a .22 full sized bullpup. Unfortunately, the very few I've seen all come with the ridiculous 610mm barrel which makes this bullpup 40" long. It would be perfect if they would put the 410mm barrel on it. That is the barrel shown in all of the early reviews but I've never seen one for sale from any dealers in the U.S. Even Mundilair and Krale in Europe don't show this model. Too bad. The only thing missing on the 610mm barrel is a fishing line dangling off of the end of it. It is a hermaphrodite design with that barrel length.

The long barrel is what turned me off as well with the "FAC" full length with laminate stock. With the moderator, the rifle configuration is 54" long! I know there is the carbine version but that version also comes with the stock with a truncated forestock that I don't like. I really like the configuration of sub 12 ft/lbs "full length" with the full size stock and the more propositional length barrel.

I got one done by Allen Z as well! But he must have learned on yours. He did say i got a really good barrel... He did some work on the hammer, tuned it, built a moderator... it shoots .22 JSB Hades at 915 fps and makes .4 inch groups at 45 yards so consistently that after about 2 clips its boring. Its completely silent, you hear it go "puh"

i covered it with camo tape. Great squirrel gun! My only gripe is one of the cylinders leaks....Who's the most reasonable to fix that?

I got my Weihrauch HW100, Bullpup, Carbine today. I thought I was getting my Pulsar today, nope, next Wednesday for that one.

Put a Holosun, red dot/circle dot this evening. Will do some shooting tomorrow. The factory silencer came off easily, no heat required. Going to give a Donny, Tatsu a try vs the original Weihrauch. If the Tatsu is close in its quieting ability, I'll leave that on it. The gun is 3.25" shorter with the Tatsu on it.
