Anybody considering the new Hill Compressor?

My Shoebox is about worn out, and I'm tired of dealing with it. Plus Tom has pretty well given up on them it seems. So I've been looking at options. I don't shoot my PCPs a ton, but need a way to keep my Guppy tank filled myself.

The new Hill Compressor looks pretty neat. Priced at $1000. Seems more simple/reliable than the Omega Charger line to me, plus it's not totally Chinese which is nice.

Anybody in line for one? I'm thinking of selling some guns and getting on the preorder list.

NOT TOTALLY CHINESE... I'm not gonna buy one anymore thanks for mentioning that. I thought that one was 100% BRITISH QUALITY MADE BY HILL. I'm not gonna be a guinea pig on this one for A THOUSAND BUCKS. Maybe after a YEAR of zero complaints I may change my mind. That's just me. Yo!

I don't know if it's Chinese at all. Just the motor looks "foreign" by the label, but it's claimed to be British made, so I dunno. If the rest isn't Chinese, I'm in at $1000. Looks a good option. Better than spending more on anything that I have to go through AoA for. Screw it, I'm gonna buy one. :)

I've had my Hill EC3000 for over a month now and have used it to fill my AA S510 dozens of times. It's a winner in my book! The motor looks like it's made in the UK or so it says.

Why is everyone against made in China vs UK? 90% of the electronics in your house were made there.

The only thing that matters is spares availability and warranty, not where it's made. I'd generally trust Hill to do proper QC and to stand by with warranty support if something goes wrong. I'd buy a Hill-branded China-made Yong Heng if it meant spare parts were stocked by in-country retailers and backed by Hill.

We my friend are now living it and agree have yet to see an affordable self contained unit which can keep on chugging along that can be trusted 100%. Yo!

Rather than looking for a dream compressor that will never will fail, my choice is to get one that can be easily fixed by myself. May be it's just me, I live in reality.

Good one brutha! Yo!
