Any reason for the switch? I was forced by needs of the Army when I reupped back in 2012. I wasn’t fond of being a 92A, but it was a good experience. I was last with 159th CAB, 7-17 CAV with 101st ABN DIV.

I was in the U.S. Navy from JAN ’77 to JUN ’81. I rotated to the world with an Honorable Discharge as an E-5 (Petty Officer Second Class). I was a gunner’s mate on a destroyer out of 32nd St. San Diego, serving as gun captain on a 5″/54 gun mount (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5%22/54_caliber_Mark_45_gun). I am a plankowner, having been a member of the original crew on a new construction ship. I have four Orders of the Ditch, having traversed the Panama Canal twice each way. I am a shellback, having crossed the equator at sea. I completed a WestPac cruise on the USS John Young (DD-973) from OCT ’80 to MAY ’81. Time of my life!

My son (and his wife) are both career U.S. Navy Supply Corps officers with 14+ years boots on the ground each, both holding the rank of lieutenant commander. I’m very proud of both of them 🙂

Air Force Brat and Army Veteran 1982-1989.  11B, 17C, and 13F provided fire support/target aquisition (FIST) at Ft. Lewis, WA. Before that assignment, spent some time training at Ft. Campbell, Ft. Bragg, Ft. Benning, Hunter Army Airfield, Ft Sill, Panama, and before all that started, enjoyed a tour in Germany where I got to shoot all my dream airguns from youth.

For the Air Force Vets – I was born at Nellis AFB and lived 10 years at Kadena AFB

I’m a house cat nowadays and very nice.  Federal Employee with 25 years fed service and looking forward to retirement someday soon.
