Any updates on the FX Dream Tac Compact?

Thanks for the link.

Never heard of a buffer tube. Do they mean the shroud as shown in IWA 2019?

Yes, the same shroud that was shown in IWA 2019. If you look at the first page of this thread, I posted a pic of it. In regards to the buffer tube, also called a receiver extension, it's what an adjustable AR-15 carbine stock attaches to allowing six positions of length of pull.

So if I buy a standard Dreamline Tac and already have a spare AR stock, do I have to buy the receiver extension/buffer tube as well? I have a buddy with several AR builds. He said he has a handful of AR stocks if I wanted one.

Looks like Midway stocks dozens. Would the $20 version be fine?

I just looked at the Dreamline Tac (Standard Version) on Utah Airguns website. There's a notation that it does not ship with the buffer tube and stock but they do have options for you to upgrade. If you do plan to purchase the buffer tube separately, make sure it's a mil-spec buffer tube/receiver extension. There's also a commercial buffer tube available but you'll have limited options for commercial sized AR-15 stocks. There's a difference in size between the mil-spec and commercial buffer tube. You might also need to purchase a receiver end plate and a castle nut to secure the buffer tube to the Dreamline's receiver. To secure the castle nut, you will also need a castle nut wrench or AR-15 armorer's wrench. Your buddy should have one or both.

Thanks so much. Exactly what I was looking for, much appreciated.
