Any Purists Here?

I’ve yet to meet anybody who is a one hobby enthusiast. Virtually all the people I meet at the range, also love their knives and/or fishing. A lot of the people I meet fishing, also love guns and knives and loud internally combusted petrol burners.
My hobbies are shooting(both powder and air), fishing-fresh and salt water. A small collection of both fixed and folding knives (I have at least 3 different kinds of knife sharpeners), photography, gardening, and cooking. I also love high end stereo equipment(especially speakers). I go through phases. My air rifles were becoming safe queens, so I got them up and running again this summer. I have about eleventeen fishing poles-of which only 4 really get much use. I work at my gardening almost daily as a source of exercise.
Enough about me, what do y’all like to play besides air gunning?

Hi John

Well, you did say horse power. This kept me away from any serious shooting time or spending money for close to 2 years. Almost had it done and I stumbled across a 428 cobra jet so that was another 9 months. Low 400's for hp. And a real lot of fun. Best part is now I throw the guns and tank in and off I go to permits for hunting or pesting. The older farmers love it. This thing has got me more free cups of coffee than you could imagine. What is interesting is how the gun collection has been growing since this has been completed. Problem is, with these kind of addictions I can't start thinking of retirement quite yet.

I am a fan of useful cold steel ( knifes / swords ) and i have fished a lot, mainly salt water, but i can also handle a 2 hand fly rod in a river.

Firearms i also like, but can not have as a result of where i live, i did try to enlist in the military as a weapons mechanic at 22 or so when i delayed ( education ) got to stand tall before the man, but they would have nothing of me in any way or form ( ungrateful bastards )

Actually a lot of things i like, well i have to bend the law pursuing those, or it will be extremely marginal, like in the early 00s when i panicked passing the age of 40 and got a quad bike, only to find out already then my health / stamina was not for track riding, so instead i turned to stunting the thing, which i miss a lot but the bike had to go when i sold the house back around 2010. But no stunt driving scene here i am aware off, and while the state sponsor a lot of sports and some of t hem being marginal too, i dont think they pour "stolen" money into stunt driving 2 or 4 wheeled things.

What ever you do, you should do it right, so for instance while i like dogs, and are a walking talking dog magnet, i do not have a dog, and have no plans getting one. But i know a few dogs that just adore me.

I have all kinds of other hobbies besides air gunning. I like collecting antiques. Military, including knives and swords. Civil War to the Vietnam war. Also like fishing. I still build muscle car models. Just got back into that a few years ago. One reason is I can’t afford the real ones anymore.Only if I would’ve had a crystal ball back then. I would be rich now.

That is a great looking Ford, I'm really jealous, got a 2015 Powerstroke but that build of yours is super. So much simpler back then. Got any uses for a left nut or shirt?

Airguns and dual sport dirt bikes. I'm in the process of selling 2 of my dual sports due to having 5 bikes and being 69 years old just couldn't ride my KTM 550 2-smoke like it deserved to be rode along with my KTM 625 sxc dual sport that's just plain too heavy for me now. Going to try and dual sport my 1996 ATK 406le. More than enough power and 90 lbs lighter than the 625 but not near as much power.

Airguns, yes, and on the powder burning front I like mostly handguns and my TC Contenders.

But also like historic military rifles like my M1 Garand, but my favorite is my Columbian FN49. Mine is #76 of the 1000 with Columbian markings.

I also enjoy motorcycles. Nothing fast. I got that out of my system years ago. Now it's just my Honda Road Sofa.

I make my living as a photographer, Mostly horse shows, but do dabble in other things photographically.

1972 F series! I loved the 1967 to 72 body style.

I will have to get some pictures to play along.... but ....

Along with the airguns, I do powder burners in the long range precision as well as long range .22lr. Along with that comes all the reloading equipment and accessories that are needed for that.

Been flying RC planes since I was in Jr.High... have moved up to my 4m gliders and also enjoy my long range FPV wings. When I say long I mean 6+ miles away flying. These are the definition of a "drone" as they will fly themselves on a planned mission I can set up. Or if I flip a switch on my controller the plane will come home to me where ever it is. The gliders range from 1.5M DLG ( discus launch gliders) to the large 4M F3J and F5J gliders ( F3J you use a winch to pull the plane to around 400' in 3 seconds, where the F5J uses a motor to pull into the air and then it is disabled )

Have been more into camping and hiking since my son has taken an interest in that. So that explains the hammock set up, as well as the multiple kayaks. Then when the kayaks came....well we had to go fishing as well. And now that he likes fishing we are looking at making our own plastic baits.

Yeah I really don't need another hobby..... but it is just to darn hard :D Especially when you live in a place where I do and there is feet of snow for 6 months out of the year. So I have to cram a ton of stuff in a short amount of time.
