Any one shooting the Brocock Concept S6 Standard?

I have the Brocock standard s6 in .22 . I purchased it over the holidays. I originally purchased it for my son but since then I have been using it a lot due to it being lightweight. That gun can give my RAW HM1000x a run for its money. I get less than dime size group at 25 yds and 1/2 MOA at 50 yds with 30 or so shots count but I rarely pay attention because it is my pest control gun.

The cons on the gun are obviously no gauge and it is loud so be prepare to buy an aftermarket LDC. The thread on the the gun is a 10mm so it was kind of hard to get the fitting to convert to the more readily available 1/2-20 threads. I ended up ordering from England via eBay for the fitting (took a hit on the shipping). After adding the LDC, the gun is deadly quiet. Initially it was hard to cock but it gets easier as time goes by. It's favorite pellets are JSBs and H&N . Initially the gun had a slow leak but after putting a little effort on the fill foster fitting, it seems to hold (no gauge to accurately compare).

I included a few pictures of when I first got the gun. The 6 shots group is at 25 yds.

x2 tinsoldier above. Brocock Concept in 22 cal was my 1st higher end gun. Awesome bluing, it took many wipes with Hoppes #9 for the bluing to show because of the protective coat on mine. Not pellet picky accuracy was outstanding with a lot of pellets 14 through 18 grain. Mine liked AA 16 grain best. Trigger was very good out of the box and with a little work it was excellent.

Wood was also very nice. I used Howard Feed-n-Wax in the photos above. Darkened the stock and IMO made it look even nicer. Your going to need an LDC for backyard use. I bought a TKO from Mike for $55 - $60 shipped if I remember right. My magazine loading port need a little TLC, the pellets were going in slightly damaged. John in PA(a tuner) repaired it and polished the trigger.

Last the Brocock is the most air efficient gun your going to find that is not regulated. I was getting 20 - 22 shots at 23 fpe. Took 50 pumps with a Benjamin pump to get 20 - 22 consistent shots. If you get a barrel anything like the one I had your going to be very happy.

"tinsoldier"Ballistic, pcptunes is from India so shipping is pretty high. I bought one of their adapters for another gun I had. While the thread was right, it had a really tight fit and never could threaded all the way in. Here is where I bought my adapter. http://www.ebay.com/itm/161945726251?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

However $55-60 bucks from TKO is also not a bad alternative.
Ok thanks, good to know and I just made the assumption they were US based. I also contacted another custom LDC maker who said he'd tap the threads M10X1 for me as well.

Hi Guys, Been watching the posts and Thanks. AOA sent me a Contour by mistake, I let them know and ended up keeping it as they knocked $100 off it with me still ordering a Concept. The Hugett mod from the Contour also fits the Concept so I am all set there. The Contour shoots best with JSB express (old blue label). Only got to shoot the Concept a few shots so far, but at 25yds one 3 shots group was a single exact hole, not a cloverleaf. Bench rested with a 8-32 Bushnell on 32. Very happy so far, just got to get more time to shoot it.

Nice congrats! How's the effectiveness of the Huggett that came with the Contour? Is it plastic or aluminum? Great little rifles!

"StevenJoseph"Scale of 1 to 5 I give it a 3.5 to 4, that is on the Concept (23ftlbs) but a little more on the Contour (15ftlbs). It is made of aluminum. I like not having an adapter to fit it on.
copy that, thanks for the info.

Interesting that the Contour is advertised at 15ftlbs, but according to this review he was getting around 25ftlbs if you believe his numbers with 14.66gr JSBs.
With a freshly topped off tank and using my MagnetoSpeed v3, I saw velocities right around 875 fps with the 14.66 gr. pellets and slightly slower with the 16 gr. pills.

I have the XL S6 and love it. Super accurate, super light. I had Neil Clague make a mod for it that makes the gun really quiet. The Huggett that came with my gun was just a hollow tube w/o baffles. It worked, but the Clague made the gun dead quiet. I might be selling mine btw. I just got a .22 wildcat and need the money to offset the costs.

Thanks for the link to your review. Love the NC LDC. Seems like everyone who's owned a Contour or Concept really appreciates the gun for its size, accuracy, and value.
