Vulcan Uragan owners, how deep are the magazines ?

I was hoping for pin style. NSA switched all their .30 flat base to cup base and they suck with a tube style probe. I have a Vulcan 3 on the way and all my ammo will function well with a pin probe.

Nice! I’m very impressed with agt stuff. I am looking forward to your thoughts on the v3, I would like a long in 22 or 25. They are tough, accurate and pretty consistent from everything I’ve seen, my wife’s Uragan compact has been fantastic.

Heavy, my .30 uragan clears a max of .415 oal slug (65.5 nsa). Any longer and your single loading.

That's long enough... if I ever need more I'll mill a magazine on the rotary table.
How fast will the Uragan push 65.5s ?

just filed down a .30 polymag until it fit in my new vulcan 3 mags which are same as uragan. And came out to 10.5mm or .4133. which is very close to what vmxaxpro said above

I had to do alot of mods to hit 150fpe with the uragan. It wasnt enjoyable to shoot anymore so I went back a few steps. But, I think you could tune it w a huma reg and hammer spring tuning to maybe 830-850? Just a guess.
Edit: just looked over some old notes. At 170bar on the huma and nothing else I got about 855 from it. The plenum volume is pretty small in them. The vulcan 3 your getting is where Id focus on slugs with, save the uragan for the pellets its a hammer!

I don't own the Uragan but I knew the magazines were the same and more people owned them. Is there a write up anywhere on your mods to the Uragan? I'd love to know every detail if you're willing to share. I've got lots of experience with in depth mods, and machining my own parts.

I gotcha! The vulcan 3 is going to have a TON of potential. 700mm barrel, big plenum, Id say probably make a peek valve and some porting and I’ll bet its a breeze to hit 130+fpe. Ive got some posts here and there I’ll try and find them. I keep nagging agt to offer the vulcan 3 in .35 I bet it would be awesome. However, I usually like to make a balanced valve in anything over .30 I hate a hard obnoxious hammer strike. Also, since you can do your own machining, the tj 1:26” .30 barrel is a laser with the 65.5 nsa slugs. I got a handful of ground squirrels this year out around the 300 mark.

What 65.5 grain slugs you guys using? I was going to shoot my Vulcan 3.30 700 mm tomorrow. But the three packs of nsa's I have are all less than 50grains

Nsa’s. They hit like a freight train over 900 and are very accurate. Their pretty long, I cut my leade and adjusted the pin probe to engage about .010 into the lands. Shot pellets perfect there too!

Yeah I bought this V3 700 to be a slug shooter sometimes but I also want to be able to turn it into a 100yd br for a few matches this year if I can get it to shoot slugs. If not I'm going to buy a long barrel for my compact impact MK2 .30 for BR. Going to be above freezing tomorrow afternoon so I'm going to shoot it for a little while

Uragans are awesome sluggers with minor tuning up to a certain weight.. and that will allow the shooter to use pellets or slugs in the same tune without stressing the gun ..the .22- -25g knockouts n redesigned.at 960fps the .25 with the..34g knockouts at 960fps n the. 30 with the 43.5 n 49.5 NSA slugs..in the 910fps ..going any heavy n shot count suffered in the uragans.. for me n my use that is plenty enough.. I just order knockouts by the dozen I'm good...the vulcan 3 is a great step up for shooting heavy lead .... n the new look is really good.. but I'm covered with what I have now..but I will keep an eye on the .22 700mm to se how heavy could it goes..

Can the .22 uragan hold accuracy at 960 with the monster redesignes at 100? I set up a bsa r10se around 950 with a lw poly and I swear those pellets at that speed just make for a perfect airgun!

I am waiting to see slug results with V3 also—-same idea; buy Impact2 700 or new 800 barrel setup for slugs or get a V3

I loved my impact but FX chokes every barrel they make and that doesn't work well with heavy slugs. The Vulcan 3 should be the new king of the hill in regulated slug guns.
