ANY GUESSES?

I'm sure most of you know by now, (and are probably sick of it), I'm having accuracy issues with my new Impact MK2. I've tried all sorts of tuning combinations, but still have groups trying to form then POI shifts everywhere.

I have been dry cleaning the barrel and this morning tried a thorough wet cleaning w BoreKleen and Kroil 50/50. Man slivers of lead shining off a coal black patch.

Then I checked the moderator end cap and this is what I saw:

Top: what was poured out of the moderator end cap

Second: closeup of lead particles in end cap big ones and littler ones

Third: looking down the moderator from back to front

Last: what appears to be lead on edge of exit muzzle hole from inside the moderator

Anyone?

Thanks,

KP

PS: This is a picture of the Gen 1 end cap for comparison. I see no sign of clipping also a few specs of black came out when I tapped it on white paper wouldn't have shown up in a picture very well.

The Impact can be hold sensitive. When I shoot our Impact and then each of my boys shoot, we all have different POI. I’m not up on your full situation. With that being said, from what I see here, I’d say you have some clipping issues too. The silver marks on the inside of the moderator are a sign that something is definitely going on but don’t look like the marks you traditionally see from clipping. They’re usually, not always, a little more defined, even with very light clipping. It almost looks like little chunks of debris are hitting it, not the whole pellet. Take the moderator and shroud off and shoot and see if your accuracy improves. You should know right away! Good luck!

Appreciate it Stoti

. I got the Gen 1 out today and right off the bat was consistently shooting 0.3xx" five shot groups at 50. A ten shot group was 0.5xx" so I think I'm doing something right with the hold but the Gen 2 and it's clipping has happened since the day I bought it. FX has replaced the Moderator and even had me send it in the entire rifle. They kept it fro 4 months and sent it back saying they couldn't find anything wrong with it. But something is up with it. If I put the Gen 1 barrel on the Gen2 is shoots great. Iv'e even tried the Gen 2 barrel on the Gen 1 body and it shoots great. Wish it hadn't ...that would make things a whole lot easier. But it's the Gen 2 barrel on the Gen 2 body where things start to go wrong. I've got no clue.

I will get out when its calm again and try again without the moderator.. We have had a lot of wind and rain lately.

Appreciate the input
